“This was a brilliant experience. Wonderful hosts & excellent food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2009

This was a family holiday . The chalet was clean & well supplied. The hosts were excellent and the food was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for Richard & Fiona and the chalet girls. We had a wonderful break from our hectic lifestyle and came home refreshed and relaxed.
We will definetaly be going back at some time in the future.
The chalet is very close to a lovely village with lots of amenities and good bars & restaurants.

GourmetSki is a fabulous chalet; with friendly, helpful staff, great rooms, lovely food and a wonderful location. Fiona and Richard went out of their way to make sure that we had a good time, including extra effort for my husband's 40th birthday celebration. This is the perfect skiing retreat for a family - as parents to two girls aged 7 and 3, we would thoroughly recommend this chalet for maximising your skiing potential. Enjoy!

We have just returned from a week of indulgence at Gourmet Ski, at the hands of Richard and Fiona. We were in the company of friends and had exclusive use of the beautiful Chalet. Whilst expensive, the Chalet offers comfort and space, with plenty to do for all ages. Our four year old boy thoroughly enjoyed many hours of fun with Richard and Fiona's little boy ,sharing toys, setting up dens and generally keeping each other entertained, which was a wonderful bonus for us as parents. Fiona and Richard are very hands on and utterly accommodating and warm. The highlight of the week for us was the little party Richard and Fiona organised to celebrate our son's 4th birthday. Richard baked a delicious Spiderman cake and Fiona decorated the room for the event. We were really touched by their warmth and attention to detail. Richard and Fiona were definitely challenged by our group during our week long stay as we each had different family regimes and daytime outings with the result that our Hosts spent many hours everyday ferrying us from one place to another. Whilst the chauffeur facility is all part of the service, our demands were indeed great, and yet they did it always with good humour and without issue.
We would definitley go back to Gourmet Ski, not least because our son hasn't stopped talking about it since our return and we wish Fiona and Richard every success with their business.

We had an amazing stay at Gourmet Ski, we went with a group of friends and also another couple who we had not met before. Richard and Fiona did everything to make our holiday relaxing, even bringing us out drinks when we were all in the hot tub, which was a great way to chill after skiing for the day. The food was absolutely gorgeous - could not fault Richard at all! The Chalet has been beautifully restored and was really sociable in the evenings with everyone sat around the fire. We never ran out of things to do when we were at the chalet with DVD's, board games, pool table etc. to keep us occupied. Another added luxury was being chaffeur driven wherever you wanted to go and whenever. I would definately go back to stay at Gourmet Ski as Richard and Fiona were fantastic hosts, even on their day off they were still around to do breakfast and to drop us off and pick us up from the slopes!

My Wife, and 6 other friends stayed here for a week early February and everything was perfect about the place.

French ski apartments are generally very small but the rooms and the lounge areas were very spacious and warm. I particularly liked the log fired that were lit every night and the hot tub. There is something very magic about being in a 40 degree hot tub with champagne served to you while it is snowing! There is a hige collection of DVDs if you want to veg out and there is a pool table & playstation2 in the games room. Something we founds really handy was free wifi.

All the bedrooms are fantastic and of equal quality, finished to a very high standard with large comfortable beds and lovely baths.

The food was superb, akin to any good quality Mayfair restaurant, made and served by the very enthusiastic cook/owner Richard - six courses of suitably portioned meals and well chosen wine - we didnt feel the need to drink anything other than house wine. The bar was all free too!

I really felt that Richard and Fiona put their heart and soul into the chalet and it really shows, they said they didnt want to expand the business because they would be able to deliver that same service, thats how comitted they are!

In terms of criticism I honestly cant think of anything, excellent value for money given the facilities and quality of food. When I arrived I was worried about the distance from the town which is about a 20 min walk from Morzine but it really didnt matter, it was such a nice place to stay, additionally they have two vehicles to take you from A to B at you beckon call which really was a great bonus - there was never any need to walk any further than 10 metres from the ski slopes before you stepped into the minibus!

All of us gave it a ten out of ten and had the best ski holiday in years. If you are considering spending a little bit extra then this place is very much worth every extra penny.

We are a family of 4, with 2 young children, and we had an amazing stay. The accomodation was perfect. With a large living space, which had a pool table, DVD, books, games all you would need for a an evening in, (although the owners are having a perpose built games room put in for this winter season). The dinnig room was again large and lovelly. The food was delicious, a large filling breakfast and an amazing fresh cooked dinner even for the children. The outside space again was great for the children and they especially enjoyed the hot tub. Our room was large and spacious, with the children tucked away in their own little part, so we did not feel like we were all living on top of each other. The hosts Richard and Fiona could not have done enough for us, They were friendly, funny and over all very helpfull. This was our first time in the Morzine area and they told us places to go and things to do. We enjoyed our stay and the surrounding area so much we are returning this winter.

We stayed at Gourmet Ski for 5 nights and had a great time. Richard and Fiona were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome, as well as helping us decide what to do during our stay. Richard's cooking was really tasty and we enjoyed every course of every meal. The room was very comfortable and clean as was the rest of the chalet. Thanks to Richard and Fiona for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.
