“Brilliant fresh snow even in April!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Family friendly/ affordable flights with Swissair. Transfers included in cost of accommodation. The stash snowboard park kept the boys ( and men out of the was).
Friendly people with great gift shops.
Self catering option / catered chalets both brilliant.

“A great place to ski, board, relax”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

A wide variety of pistes. First time here I hated it as it was really icy in the mornings that made snowboarding as a complete beginner painful and hard work. Once the ice started to melt a bit, it was better. This year there was fresh snow nearly everyday, so the conditions were fantastic and this enabled me to explore the area better, even went up Mossettes and over to Switzerland although it was windy and found coming down Abricotine at the top quite scary. However, once it widened out, it was fine on the board, enjoyed Prolays, Stadt, and Mossettes. For beginners Proclou is a great run, as you get better then Zore is even better, just watch the steep bit at the end when icy! There are plenty of slopes where it it easy to go off piste safely too. Basically, this area caters for skiers of all abilities, has a great kids area and several bowls where you can ski back to to meet up with friends for drinks and food.

“Decent ski area and high but too busy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

We have skied here several times based from Morzine and Chatel. The skiing here has a good range, some is very challenging, and there is lots of off piste. I must say each time though I have not been impressed by the snow, and it has been very very busy. Perhaps this is. Because it is the high option for Les gets, Morzine, and Chatel, but it does get overrun. It can get confusing too - Navigation is not easy in places.

The design of the mountain themed buildings is clever from a distance but ugly as hell close up. Avoriaz has all the character of a lobotomy. Food is uninspiring and one or two of the restaurants (I can't sadly remember their names to write them appropriately harsh reviews) break new grounds in unfriendliness - shades of 1970s Paris.

I am not a fan.

“Fantastic skiing”

Great area and will go back again. So close to Geneva airport that it is so convenient and easy transfers. Plenty of ski runs for a week holiday
