“Highly recommended!! Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2011

Just back from a weekend in Morzine and have to say Hotel L'equipe execeeded all expectations. As stated by other reviews, it could not been in a better postion. Right by the Pleney lift. I am actually puzzled how it is a 2 star. Swimming pool, sauna, squash court, table tennis, pool table. Decent breakfast as well. Easy a 3 star in all but name in my reckoning. One of the group had his own room on the 1st floor. It was huge!!!! 114. Massive wet room, would recommend paying up for one of those. Other rooms fine...little small but all the basics. Staff were friendly as well. All in all a decent stay. Would highy recommend. Cannot be beaten for €75 a night h/b.

Just got back from an excellent skiing holiday. The hotel could not be better located. One cable car is right outside the hotel. The train to the other cable car stops outside the hotel and runs every 10 minutes. Contrary to other reviews, we found all the staff very friendly - this might have been because we tried to speak to them in French. Breakfast was more varied than most French hotels I have stayed in and the evening meals were pretty good as well. For a 2 star hotel to offer a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna was an added bonus. Definitely recommend.

This was our third trip to Morzine and we had a great week here in half term. Prior to our arrival we had been daunted by a couple of negative reviews however we found their experience to be totally different to ours. This is a two star hotel and is reasonably priced. The location is excellent and we found everything else very satisfactory. The double room was fine with great views of the piste and sunshine all day. The hotel owners were very pleasant, Patrique, the patron and many of the staff dont speak much English but why should they, they are french. Annabelle, Patriques wife, speaks good English so communication wasnt a problem. The food was good and there was plenty of it. The hotel was particularly busy during lunchtime and apres ski, often with ski instructors which we believe is a good thing.
The pool and the jacuzzi were great, especially after a snowy day skiing.
We went with friends and children aged between 9 and 13 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately use this hotel again.

First of all remember this hotel is a two star and you pay two star prices.Having said that it can't be far off a three star. The location of the hotel is arguably the best in Morzine right by the Pleney ski lift, its almost a ski-in ski-out hotel.Rooms are a bit small but cosy try and get a room facing the mountain the ski school meeting point will be about thirty yards from your balcony and you will get the sun all day.The bar in my experience was very busy for the apres ski between 5 and 7 and the swimming pool, for a two star was very good. Also food was nice.Ignore the bad reviews,I mean, one complaint was the French only speaking French - in France!!!choose this hotel and for the money you won't be disappointed.

I stayed at this hotel on January 02nd.January 2010. It is run by a husband &wife team, He has no English ans she is ignorant and totally unhelpful. The "Hotel" is completely "dead" all day and all night - no atmosphere whatsoverer. A glass of beer costs €3.00 whereas a Pint of beer 30 yards down the road costs €3,00 The breakfast is non-existant and the dinner has no choice -take it or leave it.. The staff have no english - they rely on other residents to translate for you. The owner's dogs roamed freely around the hotel including the dining room and kitchen areas. There is no Internet access unless you have your own Laptop. The owner would not even oblige me by printing our return boarding passes - the pits!. The rooms are tiny - hardly room to move in them. If you decide to have a swim or jacuzzi be prepared for all at the bus stop to see your all as the site is totally open to all and sundry on the street to view your wares !! No privacy !!
