“What more could you want?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

This country park has been here for years and it never fails to delight. You can wander around for ages looking at the animals or just sitting around enjoying the views. There are places to sit and picnic too and lots of things for the children to do as there is a great playground.
There are also special breeds of pigs and chickens - some of them quite comical.
Of course, a visit to the supermarket and £1 shop is a must and the cafe is brilliant value. We have had many a cooked breakfast here when we have been too lazy to cook and it is probably cheaper than buying the food to cook at home as well. Just to add to what others have written -the Wildlife Park is totally free to enter. Dont forget to say 'hi' to Sam the Parrot and the other lovely birds in the entrance to the supermarket. He usually has something to say back!

“Something for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2012 via mobile

Strange mix of Supermarket, £1 shop, cafe, and animal park... but it all works perfectly to provide a great day out! Admission to the animal park is free...yes FREE. There's lots of different animals to ooooh and ahhhhh over, including deer, numerous breeds of pigs (pongy!) and chickens. When we visited there were escaped piglets everywhere. Gorgeous resident peacock with full plumage. Cafe is basic but serves good value filling food. Play area for the kids. Plenty of free parking. Even managed to find a quality iPhone cover in the £1 shop! We try and visit at least a couple of times a year and well worth the 45 minute journey from Telford.

“Free and fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Churchstoke country park is completely free to enter and provides a wonderful day out for the family. Parking is free and entry is also free so know need to worry about bringing any money with you (unless you wish to visit the supermarket or its cafe, in front of the park). The surrounding environment is beautiful with nothing but the welsh (and some english) hills as far as the eye can see. The animals aren't too bad either; plenty of different breeds pf piglets scurrying all over the place as well as cows, sheep and all the other similar friendly farm animals that you can think of.
As well as the normal sort of animals you may find on a farm it also has more exclusive residence such as the llama's, donkey's, alpacas, red deer, water buffalo, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, highland cattle and the local peacock that occasionally shows off its feathers.
If you kids aren't big fans of animals though; don't worry, there is also a big kids and little kids area for the kids to mess around on.
If you have not visited, it is a must! theres always a chance of running into Roy (the owner of the park) on his daily rounds around the park checking on the animals, and may be able to get closer to animals that you may not have been as close to before.
A cheap day for all you city dwellers to enjoy the true countryside! and the wildlife within it!
