We stayed in the cottage for 2 weeks in late September 2012. The location is very good with lovely views of the river. The village of Wellington Bridge meets most daily needs with an excellent supermarket selling a wide range of ready-to-cook meals as well as fresh meat, bread etc. The cottage is private and very quiet; the lounge furniture is rather well-worn but the bed upstairs was very comfortable and the mattresses in the twin room downstairs looked new. Both bathrooms are well fitted out and the whole accommodation was very clean. Future guests should however be aware of two things: firstly, the broadband signal was weak and could only be accessed by borrowing the owners' modem, and secondly the additional charge for power and heating was unexpectedly high at 70 euros for the two weeks during which we had kept usage to a minimum (the washing machine and dishwasher used once each and the central heating on for no more than 2 hours in the evening). Unlike other properties we have rented in Ireland we were unable to monitor our consumption .
Quiet and scenic location
High additional costs and difficulty accessing wi-fi
