Myself, my mum & dad, visited The Antelope on Saturday 2nd June, we had 2 lamb dinners, &1 beef dinner, the Lamb was tasteless, & as for the Beef, it tasted as if it had been warmed up from the week before.
The place was dirty, the staff, looked disheveled, and top it all off, the 3 of us, have had a bout of food poisoning, sickness & the Trots big time.

We are really puzzled by this review?..........The customer states that they had 2 lamb and 1 beef dinners but states they visited us on Saturday 2nd June........we do not serve roast dinners on Saturdays......Saturdays menu is all a la carte and we only serve lamb/beef/turkey/pork dinners on Sundays (this can be easily verified by looking at the pdf menu on our web-site) . On the Saturday in question we served 49 lunches and did not recieve one complaint! why on earth if you were not happy did you not complain ? we have a grade 5 award from enviromenal health officer, which incidently we have managed to recieve in the short 6 months since we bought the antelope in November. You state you had food posioning??........ this is verging on slander and obviously you must have visited the doctor .......... been told which type of food posioning it was, how you had food poisoning from different types of meals etc. etc. etc. and in return we would also have been notified, which incidently we havent been ! Whilst i agree that the hotel does still need work doing in places on the decor, given that we took on a boarded up business only 6 months ago and we have invested thousands of pounds already and we have built up a large amount of repeat custom that your review does just not ring true. We take complaints very seriously and if we are told about anything that a customer is not happy with we endeavour to rectify the situation. However, complaints are very rare and in fact mainly we just get praise about the staff and the food. We find it strange that you have only ever left one review on Trip Advisor and find it totally insulting that you can make a personal attack on our hardworking staff by calling them 'dishevelled'.............That said we can not please all of the people all of the time, but if people tell us to our faces at the time at least we can try and sort out whatever the problem is!
