Although we have stayed in this part of France many times before, we only discovered La Gloriette a few weeks ago as a result of reading the previous Tripadvisor review, and would now always choose to stay here when visiting the area. It is incredibly good value for money and our (blue) room was much nicer than many rooms in expensive hotels we have stayed in locally. The rooms are tastefully decorated in keeping with the character of the building, yet with modern ensuite bathrooms. We had delicious breakfasts with croissants and jam. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was very helpful in recommending good local restaurants in the area (such as La Fringale in the main street in Bayeux).
