“Family-run, friendly, fantastic filling food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

You only have to go a short distance off the Valdobbiadene beaten track to find this gem of an agriturismo. Stunning views over the vine-terraced hills and small villages below. On a clear day, the Venice lagoon is visible. We visited for lunch with friends who had been many times before. A warm, genuine welcome into the small but immaculately decorated dining room ensured we immediately felt at home. This friendly and informal atmosphere continued throughout the wonderful meal, with the owners happy to talk about the food and wine they were serving, or any other topic. A mixed appetizer of lightly grilled home-grown vegetables and tender sardines was followed by home-made spaghetti (bigoli) which was bursting with flavours. The roast home-reared chicken simply melted in the mouth as did the tagliata, again with plentiful vegetables. Chilled 'colfondo' (prosecco wine bottled on the lees) was an excellent accompaniment on a very hot afternoon, rounded off with apple cake, two varieties of grappa, chunks of watermelon and coffee. We also took the opportunity to view the rooms for bed and breakfast guests and hope to return for a few days later in the year.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

A meal at La Rondine is a truly memorable experience. After a somewhat haphazard journey through the incredible vineyards we eventually arrived at the top of a very steep hill with stunning views across the valley. It is quite honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. And that was just the beginning! We were greeted by the lovely Massimo, who took us to our table and immediately presented us with a carafe of his delicious Prosecco. Beautiful handpicked flowers were adorning every table. We were then given a plate of mixed antipasti including salami, cheese, bread and a selection of vegetables. Everything was delightfully presented and tasted lovely and fresh. This was followed by a crespelle of spinach and cheese, spaghetti with buffalo ragu, barbecued meats with roast potatoes, polenta and salad leaves. The meal ended with two delicious cakes, coffee and grappa! Needless to say, by this point we very full, very happy, and more than a little tipsy! I think my favourite thing was the crespelle, closely followed by the spaghetti! La Rondine is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, I highly recommend it!

“The Wonderful La Rondine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

We had an excellent time discovering and eating at La Rondine in early March 2013. It was an adventure driving there since it's a little off the beaten path, but everyone was welcoming and we got situated at about 7:30 PM in their small dining room and relaxed and drank their traditional prosecco, served in unlabeled bottles and poured into a 'pitcher', basically straight from their tanks. At about 8:30, a big family gathering got the cooking started and we ate each course along with the other dinner guests, personally served by the owner and operator of the agriturismo and prosecco label, Massimo. Antipasti, primi, secondi, dolce, and plenty of prosecco. For English-speaking travelers, don't be worried by the fact that very little English is spoken at La Rondine. Just relax and enjoy the food, fine prosecco, and the great energy of the place. After dinner, Massimo took us down to the heart of the cantina and showed us the autoclaves and explained each of their products for us to select some purchases to take home with us. They do have a couple of rooms if you'd like to stay right at their agriturismo while exploring Valdobbiadene and the surrounding area. Just a wonderful experience and highly recommend it!

“Unforgettable new year's eve”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

I spent 2012 new year's eve here and thanks to Zanin family I will remember this last new year's eve as one of the greatest in my entire life. The charm and the hospitality of this family together with an amazing view of the valley, exceptional food and an un-believable wine (named Surlì) made the difference! Try out the Surlì and then you will never drink Prosecco anymore. Rooms are also really comfortable, clean and they are at a five stars level!
