“Love this Place!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

I spent a Christmas Eve at Don Pedro one year and it was amazingly beautiful....remote and wild and completely natural. The beach is perfect......white sand, no one else there and a shoreline that goes on for miles. I would have loved to spend the whole weekend there but there's no camping. It's a great place to commune with the ocean and think. There's nothing else to do there but enjoy the beach, the water and the birds and it's only accessible by boat so if you are looking for something exciting to do where there's lots of action, this is not the place. If you want to get away from the rat race, this is perfect.

“A quiet beach with restrooms, outdoor showers.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014 via mobile

We took our dinghy to one of eight docks and these were full when we left. Walked to beach across island, a short walk with access to covered picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and outdoor shorts to rinse the sand off. There was fishing, swimming, sunbathing and shark teeth and shell hunting. I found many shark teeth that were small to the minute sizes. They also had some nature trails to explore. The water was clear near the shore and we saw manta rays jumping in the water.

“Perfect Paddling Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2014

We first visited Don Pedro in January 2014 on a paddle board/kayak tour with Hooked on SUP. We we so impressed that when we got our own boards, it was the first place we went back to. From the land base, you can cross the boating channel to a mangrove tunnel. There you can see starfish, crabs, jellyfish, and all sorts of other marine life. From the mangrove, it is about a mile to the beach park. This pristine white sand beach is only accessible by boat so it's not very crowded. When we were there this past Saturday, we had the whole island to ourselves. It's important to know that the land base is only open until 5 PM. The staff there are really nice, giving us some very helpful tips. You can drive down to the water but there are also kayak dollies that you can use for free and a water hose station for washing the salt water off your board or kayak when you're done. There's a $3 entrance fee for the land base and $2 entrance fee for the island.
