Can't say more than has already been said!
A short walk down from Clywd Gate on Offa's Dyke and you find yourself in a very stylish updated17 century cottage ( the outside and windows are deceptive!). Beautifully converted and lovely place for a night or much longer, as you have a suit of rooms We made what turned out to be a good decision to eat in, with a good home cooked meal and a very good bottle of Australian Shiraz ( Karyn, a New Zealander, does admit that the Ozzies CAN make wine!). I had originally thought that the price quoted for the eve meal was a bit steep, but it turned out that it was the price for 2 not 1 ! We ate watching the sun set over the valley. Breakfast was also good but most especially the bacon, worth the journey for that alone. ( prize winning butcher in Ruthin). We left refreshed and rested.
Oh and the cake on arrival was delicious, as you would expect from a Kiwi ( 9 weeks in NZ taught us that!)
