“Good Value for Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Visited the Kalinda Restaurant with friends and family recently and enjoyed the evening. Although a little busy, there were plenty of food options and a spread out smorgasboard. You can order steaks through the waiter/waitress made to order. They have a small kids area as well. The food was fresh and delicious and the ambience more a family friendly dining experience. The price is excellent with kids under 12 being free with a paying adult. Have also visited for Sunday breakfast which was also excellent. Would definately recommend for a small family gathering up to a large party as all are catered for.

“Memorable evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

14 of us went to the Seafood Buffet at Kalinda for my son's 21st. It was a really nice evening. The food was great - most of the guests were 20 something rugby players and 'the all you can eat' was a godsend for them! The chef at the buffet keeps a supply of prawn skewers going on the grill. When they ran out we were waiting for some more and he told us not to wait that he would send some over when they were finished cooking. 5 minutes later a big plate of delicious skewers arrived at the table to be finished off very quickly. Other dishes of note were a scallop and prawn salad, salt and pepper calamari, oysters kilpatrick and of course the vast array of fresh seafood.
The staff came out with a cake to sing happy birthday to my son, even though they were very busy in the restaurant. This made the occasion very personal. All up the service was good.
The bill came to $800 for all food and drink which I thought was reasonable. I stay at Royal Pines fairly regularly and plan on returning for another go at the seafood buffet. I know that the other guests there on the night will happily return with me.
