“Bringing Britain's Battle to Life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is probably one of the most awe-inspiring and moving places you will ever visit. It really brings home the epic feats of our wonderful Battle of Britain pilots, both the home grown ones and the little-acclaimed Polish fliers, without who this country would most certainly not have survived Hitler's onslaught. Be prepared to battle with your emotions!

“Riveting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Fabulous if you have any interest whatsoever in military aviation, and the staff are very willing to take time out to talk to you knowledgeably about all of the exhibits. Some informative displays about WW2 - including the Dam Busters aiming device, and the chance to go on the simulator machines should be taken. Great day out, thoroughly worthwhile, and will go again.

“Hidden treasure for Aviation fans”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

The museum is tucked away in a corner of the old WW2 airfield, run by enthusiastic volunteers. It has a fascinating collection of old aircraft in various stages of restoration, and plenty of memorabilia to keep everyone interested. The flight simulator seems to be a big draw! The cafe is quite good, though I think they could somehow capitalise on the WW2 style a bit.

“Fascinating place - a tribute to the "Few"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

A very interesting museum, made even better by the very knowledgeable staff, most are ex RAF, who took time to explain. Being a Battle of Britain station made the visit even more moving, considering what took place in those days. The museum is full of artifacts, with stories attached to each which brought in the personal touch. The display and collection is always being added to, so it is worth going back.
Also worth a visit is St Andrew'sParish Church, where you will find the graves of both British and German aircrew, tended to by the Commonweath War Graves Commission. Most of these men lost their live in the Battle of Britain.
