“warm atmosphere and friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

We spent 3 nights at the Gladstone and would definitely recommend it. The staff are both friendly and efficient with nothing being too much bother. We had a front room overlooking the bay, nicely equipped and a lovely view. This is an excellent location for exploring the area and we were so glad to have came upon it.

Excellent location, well worth extra for a sea view, comfortable clean room with excellent en suite, very welcoming, helpful staff, good breakfast, excellent locally sourced bacon, steak and gammon too, great atmosphere in bars and dining areas, some great local beers ....... a lucky find!

Room Tip: Definitely go for the sea view rooms, any traffic noise completely excluded at night by the double g...

A good hotel in a convenient position for touring or for Holyhead crossing. Made to feel very welcome on arrival and staff without exception really lovely. Rooms were not large, but were comfortable and the shower was fantastic! There is some road noise at times, but it is not intrusive.
The menu is a little limited if you intend to stay more than a couple of nights (not too many healthy options, but superb chips :) )Plenty of places to eat not too far away.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Nice patio area to front of hotel with great views over the bay and lots of parking.

Room Tip: I felt the rooms which we had to the side of the hotel were quieter.

A very good find in a little out of the way place, 10 mins from Conwy and avoiding all the crowds. Situated off an excellent linking road, the Gladstone is a boutique type hotel with outstandingly well decorated rooms - ours had a huge, newly decorated bathroom. Pleasant staff and good cooked English breakfast completed the very good deal.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

Late room offer for one night so not too sure what to expect. Friendly welcome, bright, fresh room with sea view, good breakfast. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal with the added bonus of good beer & live music. Professional service from staff in all areas. The location is really convenient just off main road - we are likely to return, if there is room, on a further visit to Conwy or N Wales.

Room Tip: Live music makes rooms noisy - we enjoyed it!!

Stayed over the Jubilee weekend, Good location close to A55, Rooms are really nice and comfortable. all freshly decorated and well maintained. The pub was busy due to the poor weather and they had bands on through the day. The atmosphere was good and some of the bands were fantastic. Didnt eat there but went to the Castle hotel in Conway....that was very good, The Staff at the Gladstone were pleased to help and breakfast was standard. We got the room for £70 which i thought was very good, Will be pleased to stay again. The music did disturb a number of other guests but I felt this was more of a one off due to the weekend. Take some time out to use the Syhnant pass in and out of conway.. fantastic scenery and well worth the short detour off the A55. We were quoted £100 without breakfast at other B&Bs so the stay was a result.
