“Perfect idylillic retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012 via mobile

I love staying here so much. I travel a lot but this still seems to be one of the few places where I can totally declutter my mind. The Orchard Lounge is so welcoming, I don't want to leave it. The roaring fire and carefully selected relaxing music make it perfect for destressing. The hosts are delightful, as is the breakfast.I always hate to leave and get back to reality. Looking forward to going back.

The Glyn Isa Country Country House Bed and Breakfast, is a delightful building as is its owners (its a pun by the way...) On arrival we where greeted with such warmth and kindness from our hosts . We were shown into a most charming room so quiet and gentle, with such beautiful clean fresh air. Anyone blessed enough to come across Glyn Isa are in for a real treat....our breakfast was excellent every thing was first class .I was sorry we could not stay longer, but we will be back.

I suspect an evening in the summer, in the garden (October when we stayed) would be fab....

Room Tip: They are all lovely...... if you are lucky enough to get in.........

On an impulse the other day, my wife and I decided to go to North Wales (as you do) and having rejected a spa hotel just outside Llandudno for charging £149 for an experience that did not include breakfast, decided on this very reasonably-priced alternative that did. If you visit Glyn Isa you will receive a warm welcome into a house with real character and luxurious space. When we visited, we were able to sit in the garden for a couple of hours enjoying the peace of the place which was really relaxing. The breakfast was great, we had a very comfortable night's sleep and at no point did we feel processed. Usually I prefer a hotel to a bed and breakfast but this is my favourite place to stay so far this year and is highly recommended.

We stayed in the Glyn Isa for a few days when we wanted to trip around North Wales. It is a picture-perfect cottage from the outside and has a lot of character on the inside. We stayed in the Captain's room and our friend stayed in Hathaway and I would stay in either again. The Captain's room is more spacious and light of the two. Elizabeth was very friendly and very attentive but not at all intrusive. She recommended places to eat and visit and there was plenty to do within a short driving distance. We would highly recommend the Glyn Isa.

Room Tip: The Captain's room is beautiful and highly recommended.

We decided to stop one night to escape sons all night jamming session. The welcome was gracious and room was both comfortable and pretty. The breakfast tables were decorated with old world charm and looked out into a restful view. The breakfast itself included all the trappings. If you are looking for a a place to unwind this it it. Perhaps a later Sunday breakfast could be considered for couples who would prefer to sleep in a little.

I adore this house. We had stayed before and totally fell in love with it. Liz is a very beautiful Lady and is the perfect host and her breakfasts are to die for. We stayed in Rosslyn this time and had stayed in Molly's chamber and The Captains room before. There is a Pancake house next door and their Anglesey eggs are yummy. We got married on the Saturday but due to work commitments we couldn't have a honeymoon just yet so we chose to stay here on the Sunday night. I cannot wait to go back.

Not long returned home from a wonderful break away to North Wales, made special by Glyn Is Country House. Very well looked after and spectacularly presented, Glyn Isa Country House is perfect for a well deserved relaxing break. Owner Liz is very welcoming and friendly and went out of her way to make sure we made the most of our stay. As for the location....spectacular!
