“Nothing Special”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

I live in england and was visiting for a short period so thought I would go and see what it was all about. The food in the pancake house was very nice and tasted lovely but the service was awful and the staff seemed over worked. They got my two children's orders wrong and the woman that corrected it was very rude. Overall i think there was nothing special about the place and i will not be going back. - Steve

“Book in advance”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

The pancake house was busy when we arrived so asked the waitress if we could book, so visited the reptiles and aquarium (see review for details). We sat at our table which was sticky, placed our order & after a short wait our order arrived (they got it wrong) although they didn't say anything, all 3 staff discussed my order at the till. Pancakes were bland to say the least, the soup (leek and potato) was taste less. For £15.00 (drinks included tea and hot chocolate) it was very expensive. Won't we visiting again!

“Book in advance!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

I love pancakes - this is my idea of heaven!
It is worth arriving early or booking in advance to ensure you have a table. The decor looks lovely with lots of dutch themed pottery too making the atmosphere just right.
The food is lovely and much more filling than you would expect. I had a cheesy pancake and wanted to try and fit in a sweet pancake too buy was defeated. The pancakes are like crepes too so not too thick and stodgy.
While here visit the aquatic centre and water gardens to see otters, ducks and many species of fish!

“Disappointed!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

I was excited to come here, although I live in north Wales, I had eaten in a similar pancake house in London, many times. We received a warm welcome here, but our pancakes were awful! The actual pancake was so thick and gluey..Sadly, we had to explain why we had left our meals, but the owner, a lovely lady, offered to replace our meals, we chose not to, so she gave us each a £5 voucher. We do want to revisit, and try again.Lovely setting, lovely staff.
