Visited the Dutch Pancake House at the Conwy Water Gardens last Saturday & what a hidden surprise! It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside next to the pond which is full of some very large fish & a couple of friendy ducks. We did have to wait for opening time which is 11am on a Saturday morning which did seem a little late & there was quite a lot of people waiting. But it was worth the wait, there is a huge pancake menu both sweet savoury & choosing was a task in itself, we both ended up with a Dutch Savoury Pancake with bacon, chicken, sweet peppers & cheese which was lovely. We had medium pancakes which were huge so I dread to think how big the large ones are! On our return visit, which I have no doubt will be soon I think we'd probably share a savoury pancake to start & follow it up be sharing a sweet one as I definatley couldn't eat both but would like to try some of the very tempting other fillings. I'd certainly recommend a trip to the Pancake House, it's different, kids would love it & I'll certainly be back when I have visitors.
