“Our favorite afternoon spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We are currently in Coral Bay and stopped here for directions on our first day. Decided to get a smoothie while there and have been back every day since. They are expensive but delicious and they are large. If you have children, they can share one. My kids love the berry one. My husband loves the funky monkey that has banana, rum, Baileys, coconut and am not sure what else but it is incredible.

I was surprised to read the reviews about the worker. We have found Katie to be super friendly and very informative about the island and beaches. The stand is at bend in the very narrow and windy road so I can see why it would be important to not have your car out in the road. Sit back and enjoy one.

“Refreshing, fruity, overflowing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

A tiny little place on Centerline Road (just pull over by the side), my teens loved the smoothies here. We stopped three times during the week we were at Maho. We recommend the St.John's Special (banana, mango, passion fruit, coconut and sour sop - a native fruit) and the Funky Monkey (for adults). Expect to pay between 7 and 9 dollars for one smoothie, but like everything else on St.Johns, expect to pay more than you bargained for. But after a day at the beach, swimming and snorkeling, these smoothies sure do hit the spot. Plus, these were much better than the smoothies we had at Bordeaux Mountain and frankly, there aren't a whole lot of other options.

I also agree that the service is lackadaisical, with seemingly jaded helpers seeming done with serving the steady stream North American visitors to this beautiful island. But, then again, this attitude seemed pervasive: its as if the servers (mostly white North American ex-pats or recent college grads) resented having to serve us, their visitors. Very perplexing reception, for sure.

“The joke's on you!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

The poor put upon worker said she'd get up from her seat when we were ready to order. Her pack of Parliments were far more interesting than us I'm sure. Never mind we might have a question or two since we've never been to your ripoff smoothie stand before. She finally begrudgingly got up to wait on us and made us feel like the fools we were for being there. She slopped the artificial ingredients in the blender and then slopped it all over the counter as she served it never bothering to wipe anything up as she went along. What a shame that someone would be so miserable when dealing with the public and in paradise no less. This place is a joke, the smoothies are crap and the service abysmal. You expect to be gouged at places like this (fifteen bucks for 2 lousy smoothies that ended up in the trash) but at least be pleasant when your hand's in my pocket!

“Excellent smoothies”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

As this wasn't far from where we stayed at Bordeaux Mountain, we stopped here at least 3 times in our one week stay in St John. Smoothies were delicious!!!!! As others have noted, the worker isn't over friendly , but that did not hurt the taste of those cold drinks. No better way to end the day after some snorkeling or swimming at one of those unreal beaches than to have one of these smoothies on the way back to the villa. They are a bit pricey, but so worth it!

“A delicious and refreshing stop along the way!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Stopped in here twice while staying at Maho Bay Camps (closing in May). The smoothies and cold coffee drinks were all great. Ask for the free rum shot in your smoothies, and it's only a couple bucks to add to a coffee. They offer low fat options, too. At the time, they also had hot dogs and ice cream bars! I believe they said most of the gift items were imported from the Philippines. Be careful and cautious when pulling into and out of the side of the road there, check both ways several times, those trucks come roaring down the road.
