“Larry's is a great destination!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We have been frequenting The Tourist Trap for several years, and is one of the reasons we frequent Lameshur beaches...the promise of Larry's food on the way back. Larry, Mary, and all the friendly help do not disappoint. Not fancy, just GOOD! Keep up the good work!

“Great out of the way lunch spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Short menus but very good food. When you are at the Salt Pond it's better than driving to Skinny Legs. Lunch only as they close at 6:00

“Best Lobster roll EVER”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Met Larry, the owner, by chance at Aqua Bistro. (another great place) He told us about his place and where it was. We are frequent visitors to St John and did not even know the road from Coral Bay went that far! Anyway, we stopped for lunch a couple days later and the lobster rolls did not disappoint. Huge hunks of lobster in a cool salad heaped onto a warm, buttered, bun that looked like a little canoe! It was FABULOUS. You have to try the pulled pork sandwich as well. A little different twist to the norm and also excellent. Don't be put off when you pull up 'cos Larry's not big on ambiance. What they are big on is great food, casual atmosphere, great views, and folks that make you feel right at home....no matter where you are from. A must for us now with every visit to St John.

“There is a reason this shack is #2 rated on St. John”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

What a great surprise! We decided to take a day trip to St. John on Christmas Day. Low and behold almost nothing was open except the Tourist Trap. Located at the end of the world. Past many colorfully named dips in the road (skinny dip, stinky donkey dip to name a few), we found the neatest little place. We were immediately welcomed by Mary (think Christmas here) our server and made to feel right at home. The ribs and slaw are to die for. Larry braises them for hours and uses an Asian marinade and sauce. The secret is he deep fries them for crispness, or so he says.....they're no greasy at all. The Greek style leg of lamb special was also delicious. My kids loved it and were amused by the "Tortoise Trap" a collection of old Barbie domiciles now inhabited by shelled reptiles, Rockem Sockem Robots and decorated cacti. Don't miss this one if you love "the find"
