“Gotta have the burger!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

If you like burgers, you have to try this place. They have a burger of the day and we had to go back twice to spread the love. We also tried the blue cheese burger and it topped them all. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back. Everyone makes you feel welcome and you feel like one of the locals.

“Best Dive not under the water on St John”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2014

If you are looking for fancy, do not go to Skinny Legs, but if you are looking for a great burger or sandwich at a great price, this is the place when on the Coral Bay end of St. John. Once known as Red beards, and for the last 20 or so as Skinny Legs, the bar/restaurant is a hangout for visitors and locals. Basically a deck under a canopied roof with picnic tables under and outside the cover it depends on the tradewinds at low level to stay cool in the heat and keep mosquitos away which can't always happen, but is usually okay. Decor is old sports pennants, a mobile of sandals and odds and ends. It's attached to the outside of four shops. The service is very friendly but not always super fast as they are busy at meal times and with a small grill, a sandwich can take a little longer than one would expect. But the burgers are hand pressed chop meat (a NY term for ground beef) and come with potato chips and the usual lettuce, tomato and pickle slices. They have no fryer so don't expect French fries. Both the burgers and the BLT are awesome and the prices are extremely reasonable for St. John. Even though it's a bar, kids are fine here at the tables. They have two TV screens above the bar and if there is a special event in sports (Kentucky Derby, Super Bowl, etc.) guaranteed to be making it a feature and have associated specials available. There isn't a fancy thing about it, but the food is great, the price is low and it's a great place for lunch.

“Eh.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2014

After reading the reviews we expected more. The service was decent, and the food was average. Nothing to write home about. The chicken sandwich was OK, the burgers were OK......the chips were blah and fries would've been better. Overall a very average experience. Nothing we'd come back and do again.
