Description: The Drovers Inn is an intriguing pub and restaurant offering both a traditional Scottish inn atmosphere and contemporary fine dining. Situated midway between Forfar and Kirriemuir,in the little village of Memus.Enjoy a hearty meal and a well earned ale by the fire in our traditional Scottish pub after a days walking in the Angus Glens or savour a superb meal in our elegant, stylish sixty seat restaurant. In summer our guests also enjoy the outdoor dining area under the trees while their children romp in the large open air play area. Our menu features modern Scottish cuisine at its very best, using herbs from our own garden and quality, locally sourced seasonal produce. The exceptional food is complemented by an extensive wine list and large selection of whiskies and cognacs to complete the experience.

“delicious food and cosy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

I arrived at The drovers after getting soaked at the Highland show yesterday and the fire was on in the bar which was cosy and we warmed ourselves whilst having a drink and deciding what to eat. Staff courteous and efficient, dining room cosy as fire on there too and the food was amazing, fresh sea bass on a bed of mustard coleslaw and mash was to die for! Best meal I've had in a while, well done to all concerned, keep up the good work!

“Our stay in Forfar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2012

Fantastic Menu with excellent Service. I used to live in Forfar but left 10 years ago. It was lovely to go back and take in all the changes.

“Excellent Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

We went to the Drovers for the first time with my daughter and her husband. The food and service were excellent and despite the fact we had to eat in the bar the atmosphere was first class.

“Excellent pub grub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

We had a midweek meal in the pub area. Service was excellent. Choice was good, not too many items on the menu. Venison and ale pie is to be recommended. The fish looked enormous. Prices are v reasonable and good value for money. There is a restaurant area as well, Menu is more extensive and prices are higher. We could see into the dining area and it looked v nice. If I was in the area again, I would definitely return. Nearby Kirriemuir has no decent places to eat and all the cafes appear to shut before 4pm.

“Great Food In a great atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

Good quality locally sourced ingredients well prepared at affordable prices in a very smart restaurant or the cheerful open fire bar. The staff are also great and very attentive.
