A friend told us about this restaurant and we stopped after a day at the Westman Islands. The village is very small but here is this wonderful restaurant by the sea. Like most, we ordered the langoustine (and had been warned that these would not be Maine lobsters). The pot arrived filled with langoustine and potatoes. We also ordered the sides, which were couscous, and some salads in vinaigrette, also very tasty. We also ordered the Snickers meringue pie for dessert (not sure that's the real name) but it was divine. Mostly whipped cream with Snickers candy in a meringue crust. I feel like I am gaining weight just writing this review. The service was very friendly -- the food came out quickly, and our server was friendly and attentive. There is also really wonderful artwork on the walls. We had a memorable meal here for every possible reason -- the food, the service, the setting, the sea, the lobsters. It was a perfect stop on a very long day. We took the coastal road back to Innri-Njardvik where we were staying (near Keflavik) and it was really an experience. The midnight sun, the bleak unrelenting lava fields, barely another car on the road. We felt -- as they say -- as though we had landed on the moon. Make sure you have plenty of gas in the car!
