“A Welcome Alternative!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

This is my first preference to take my friends and colleagues to for a refreshing break, especially in stressful moments. A well-lit, calm and peaceful environment, the place is full of positive energy and you get so much more than food! Healthy on every level, it is a most welcome alternative for those seeking a get-away from the clatter of everyday life!

“Best you will find in Malta”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

Food was good (didn't need a plethora of options as they were all good) but drinks were very limited (they only had a high speed blender as opposed to a juicer). Perhaps we are spoiled by the vegan options from London, NY and LA but there wasn't anything new learned but it was a refreshing alternative from Maltese sausage.
The atmosphere is great and calming even though it sits on a busy road.

“An inspiration!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

This restaurant has put Malta on the map, conscious food wise! Finally we have an option that doesn't compromise on health or taste! Well done Angka Cafe for bringing such a new concept to Malta, for pioneering healthy eating and being, in such a fun and colourful way. And the constant new creations mean i will never stop coming :)

“Health-full and Organic Delicious Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

Here you can eat potent and super-empowering, super-foods. Whereas so much health food is sugar-enriched, here you can trust that what you are eating is sugar-free. The scrumptious pizza slices are made with a base composed of linseed oil, sunflower, carrot and oregano, and smothered with a sun dried tomato and date paste, and decorated with vegan cheese, almonds, sunflower seeds, pesto, cherry tomatoes, and rocket toppings! The smoothies are ‘to live for’, and pack-a-punch-full of fresh fruits and leafy greens.

“Genuine, genuine, genuine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

I have now visited Angka Cafe a number of times, and have never been disappointed about the freshness of their food and the fact that it's prepared from scratch using mostly local vegetables and fruit.
When you walk out you're guaranteed that you would have eaten healthy wholesome food prepared with care.
The staff were always extremely friendly towards me and take great pains to ensure that everything is to my satisfaction. I sometimes take away their buffet in a box when I'm in a hurry and at 6 euros it is good value for money. Sometimes I take a green smoothie (I think only place available in Malta) and sometimes a fresh juice, for example today I took carrot and orange juice and there's none of that frozen fruit, all fresh! Most of all I'd like to say a big thank you, thank you, thank you since you're the only wholesome vegetarian take away in Malta!!
PS. Their raw cacao balls - to die for!!! :)
