After taking a relaxing day off work, we thought we'd treat ourselves to a meal out at the 'Buddha Lounge' in Whitefield and were very pleased with the visit.
First off, we arrived relatively early as passing customers [without a booking] and were offered the 'Early Birds Menu' because it was before 18:30. Although we weren't originally planning to order from this, the options looked so good that we decided to go for the three course option (£14 each) with two of the £4 'upgrade' dishes.
Despite 'going cheap' and utilising the early menu, the food appeared to be exactly as I'd have expected from the main menu in terms of quality, quantity and overall presentation (for example a lovely piece of duck was brought out and shredded at the table, with all the usual accompaniments you'd expect). The Crispy Sea Bass Green Curry, and King Prawn with Chilli & Garlic Sauce dishes we had for the main course were both exceptionally good, and if I wasn't in a restaurant I could have licked the green curry plate clean it was that delicious!
The house wine we ordered to accompany the meal was very enjoyable too and the service overall was very attentive and professional, whilst still being warm and welcoming.
I enjoyed our trip to the Buddha Lounge and would certainly go back.
