Alessandro and Manuela run this sweet little B&B with such loving care, we were graciously welcomed, offered a glass of wine and a chat in the parlor, and escorted to our beautiful room. We were made to feel like family guests, and when Alessandro made us "just a little something" for breakfast we enjoyed ta delicous experience; it was exquisite and served on our terrace with view
Villa Collina is a fine example of original 1960’s architecture, combining local stonework and glass. Located within the National Park of the Archipelago of Tuscany, Villa Collina is immersed within the lush woods of oak, spruce, lentisco and together with the rich perfumes and colours of the Mediterranean scrub provide an airy and cool spot, even during the hottest months of summer.
Our room(and the others) boasts marvellous views over the Gulf of Biodola (one of the most spectacular of the island), the southern tip of Corsica, the island of Capraia, as well as Monte Capanne, the highest peak of Elba
The terrace of Villa Collina, as for all the outdoor areas are accessible to all the persons(as us) who will soon appreciate the exclusivity and tranquility of a place that is capable of immediately renewing the spirit. Our holiday was provided peace and quiet without being reclusive. During the impeccable sunsets, we had enjoy a long aperitivo, musical evenings, bar-b-q’s, tango lessons .
Artists and art-lovers alike will feel at home here, as Alessandro and Manuela are both painters.
Overall I would say this is probably the best B&B we have ever stayed this year and I am extremely fussy.
