Hi all,
We booked a cabin which for a family of 5 was very small desperately in need of maintenance and really quite disappointing, the door to the childrens room was broken and could not be moved freely back and forth on its hinges without huge effort, as well as the front doors fly screen had the same problem and I really felt the price was quite outrageous in comparison to other more spacious and clean places that we have stayed on other occasions, however the pools and jumping pillows were a hit with the children. And the beach was the biggy - being from the middle of the Northern Territory where we have no beaches but beautiful rivers, we loved the beach and spent a lot of time down there with the children chasing waves without fear of getting eaten by a croc for a change!

The park is nice and grassy and upon checkin we thought we were in for a nice relaxing park, however upon checkin we were not told tht there were around 50 young teenage girls staying in the dorm and taking over the camp kitchen. We were placed two sites away from this dorm when there was plenty of room in the park further away from them. Though the toilets and showers are cleaned daily in the morning, there is no up keep throughout the day for 100s of guests using them. By the afternoon/ evening and early next morning it is hard to find a clean toilet or shower.
Overall you do not get what you pay for, and what could be a great park is left average by a seemingly uninterested management and staff to make it a great holiday destination.

We booked a Dune cabin two months ahead as a couple and for what ever reason we were assigned the cabin closest to the kids play area, was very noisey. The cabin wasn't as clean as others we have stayed in, had to wash the floor by hand, no mop, or washing up brush. The camp is set in a lovely location close to the beach and just a short drive, or longish walk to Glenelg village, but unfortunately is also directly under the airport flight path, more noise, shame. However a nice camp with lovely grounds and friendly staff

We spent 4 nights in the caravan park. The grounds are well kept noting that it was very hot before and during our stay. We stayed over the long weekend therefore it was busy, despite this amenities were clean and tidy. Good showers.
The park is virtually on West Beach with pleasant walks along the waterfront.
Given the long weekend the cost was considered a little expensive

We have stayed here twice before. It's a great park and fantastic for children.
Our disappointment this time was the noticeable difference in the overall cleanliness and maintenance. We had to clean the bits of rubbish and cigarette butts off our site before we set up. We noticed this was the case with others as well.
The bathrooms and camp kitchen were not of the higher standard of cleanliness we experienced in the past and when they were cleaned, the floors were left extremely wet, causing them to be very slippery.
On a positive note, the reception staff were fantastic.

Had a 3 night stay in a standard cabin.

Cons:
Cabin was ok, a few cockroaches inside. Robe had awful smell like rotting fruit. Mattress protectors on 2 single beds were dirty.
Amenities block near pool could do with a clean more than once a day, plus by last day of long weekend, toilet paper had run out in a few loos.
Café was disappointing. No butter, shampoo etc available to buy in shop. Not much there really, not good for those that cant leave the park. Have seen better in other parks.

Pros:
Kids had a great time throughout the park especially pool and go karts.
Great atmosphere.

we stayed here a couple of times over easter gave a break last year 2012 giving last change this easter, high prices compared to others hoping amenities are improve this time, thank fully we have own tent so no worries about cleanliness, a bit steep friends pay $15 a family to visit and NOT USE AMENITIES, how ever 2 years previous this wasn't in place so was embarrassing when friends popped in for coffee told us they paid to visit, haven't found staff friendly previously so . need to monitor speed o cars within park more carefully most drove way over limit and park is full of kids weren't happy this wasn't picked up on after 5 days of stay, only back this year because of convenience WILL rock boat if as bad as previous experience.
