“Fantastic service, perfect view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

For those prices You can't get better! Very friendly and helpful staff. Remember this is not 5 star, luxury hotel, but I bet that You will not find any better in area in those price level. Maybe air condition in rooms could make room more comfortable... I also have to mention fantastic Restaurant Le Torri: perfect, traditional Langa food at wonderful terrace with amazing view of La Morra.

Very quiet. Very clean. Very modern. Everything is small but that is what you should expect in a refurnished old building. Warning: no elevator. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was quite good. Excellent location for a quiet retreat away from ugly Alba and near the heart of Barolo country.

What a great find in the beautiful mountains of Piemonte. The hotel is simple and cozy with spectacular views of the vineyards of Piemonte. It has all the comforts of your home away from home. Serena and Marco go all the way to make your stay trully unforgetable, getting whatever you need, always with a smile. Great restaurant in such a small town. Only 200 residents. Be sure to reserve room 11. It has a big terrace to enjoy an afternoon wine glass and watch the sunset! Ritorneró!!

I booked this hotel by accident (there seem to be several Le Torri hotels in Italy - I was in the south and this is in the North) and when I called to explain the mistake - they couldn't have been nicer. It looks like a lovely place - but I can only vouch that they could have charged my card for 1 nights stay for 2 rooms - but they were nice enough to cancel the entire reservation. My sincere thanks to them!

We fell in love with this hotel at our first visit. It has very nice rooms, most of which have a great view of the Langhe, but the one room towards town (which also costs less) we were in during our first visit was also nice. The (1 bedroom) apartment we were in last time was especially nice, great view, kitchenette, and a very spacious living room. All rooms are equipped with very comfortable beds, up-to-date bathrooms, stylish interior, and original art-prints.
But the best part about the hotel is the friendliness of the owners (Serena & Marco). And of course the delicious breakfast.
The communal wine tasting room is 2 minutes from the hotel, and the hotel has its own selection of wines from the regions and its own wine tasting room.
There is seating in the courtyard for breakfast (or/and a glass of wine later on), and a garden with relaxing seat cushions (at least in summertime).
I am definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Room Tip: Bussia (2nd floor, balcony)

I stayed here with a large group and 3 other ladies and I shared an apartment. Our specific room had a 2nd story balcony overlooking the street. Others in our group had apartments on the other side of the building with fabulous views of the vineyards. One room only got a small balcony and the other had no balcony, but they were all about the same as far as size. We loved the owners and the breakfast every morning was great with a big variety! The castle bell going off every hour was very annoying, but it's part of the Italian experience! The rooms were very updated with wonderful large bathrooms and big flat screen TVs. The hotel has a restaurant and a small courtyard overlooking the vineyards where they set out lawn furniture for guests (which we used a lot!) I would highly recommend this hotel, Castiglione Faletto is a great location near some larger towns, yet still very authentic and not touristy. Make sure you have a car to get around!

A recently renovated property in a small Piemonte hill town. The view from the rooms is fantastic across the vineyards towards La Morra; it is worth it to ask for a room on the side of the valley to enjoy it. The room itself was pretty basic, but had a balcony and an excellent bathroom. Everything spotlessly clean. Only (potential) minus is the lack of air conditioning.
Good breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff.
The adjacent restaurant is very good, as is the town's other restaurant on the small square.
Highly recommended.
