They have done a tremendous job in renovating this old abbey of the 12th century and converting it into a 5-star hotel. Located just at the edge of the Ribera del Duero wine region this beautiful hotel combines old stone walls with modern state of the art luxury finishing.
Service is impeccable and very welcoming. A pity the spa was not yet finished when we were there (due in 2014). The restaurant is stylish and the food was good, but perhaps it has potential for further improvement.
We loved our stay and will go back soon.

Ok, you have to travel from Madrid for about 2 hrs by car to get there. But: It is worth it!! The atmosphere is great, the staff very, very nice and helpful and the food fantastic. We did some bike tours (bikes from the hotel), did the winery visit (very interesting) and besides that, just relaxed!!

Wonderful retreat with excellent service and food. I would go back to Spain in that area just to visit again. Will wait until the SPA is complete -- then it will be right up there with the wonderful exclusive hotels anywhere in the world.

It is somewhat difficult to get to with limited airline service nearby (Madrid 2 1/2 hours) but Excellent service from the moment you arrive.

Facility is fantastic but not complete - SPA and Pools are not built and are really needed to bring the hotel to the level it purports to be operating.

Great location for tours of the Wine region and we even arranged for our group to enjoy a cooking experience with the chefs including selecting fresh produce from the on-site garden and preparation in the kitchen. Great fun!
