Recently stayed at this Premier Inn prior to taking a cruise.
The staff were extremely polite and helpful, the room was a good size, clean and the bed very comfortable. We had a very enjoyable evening meal at the Beefeater. Would definately stay again in the future.

Amazing value for a 3 night stay during festive period. All clean, tidy, well maintained, perfect location for my needs. Would advise you specify ground floor if you have lots of luggage as no lift offered. I'll definitely stay again & recommend tofamily & friends.

Room Tip: As above. No lift so request ground floor if carrying lots of luggage. I wasn't the only one str...

Average hotel with no special taste concerning the decoration of the rooms. Helpfull reception personnel good food at the hotel pub with average breakfast. If you are traveling without a car it will cost you around 13 £ because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere.

This hotel was a real find ! And a great place to stay if you are heading out on a cruise from Southampton. Having arrived earlier than the normal check in time the lovely reception staff went to great lengths to jiggle rooms around to allow us an early check in and a ground floor room as we had heavy cases due to going on a cruise the next day. The lovely lady also managed to make sure that our friends who weren't due to check in till early evening, were located near to us.

The room was of the normal Premier Inn standard although hadn't yet undergone the refurb that many Premier Inns now have had. Heating worked, all the usual freeview tv channels and plenty of plug sockets to charge our laptop, phones etc up before our trip.

Biggest black spot was the wi-fi Internet, which took three trips from our room at the far end of the corridor back to reception and two conversations with the Internet provider to get the service working. A touch frustrating as I had stressed on the phone upon booking, the importance of a decent Internet connection for our stay, but I guess these things happen. Once it did start working£3 for 24 hours was a great deal !

The reception staff shone throughout our trip, and having dealt with five or six of them during our stay, I think that is a pretty good record ! Particularly good was the lady who checked us in, and the lovely Polish lady Good humour and efficiency, as well as a friendly approach were key !

We ate in the Beefeater next door, and had a lovely meal, although service was a little slow at times although staff very friendly !

If you need a supermarket whilst staying there is a Co-op around eight minutes walk away turn left past the Beefeater, take the next road left and it's on your left, and also apparently a Sainsburys around 15/20 mins walk.

The jewel in this hotel's crown, apart from its convenient location, and great staff was the fact that we were not charged for parking our car while away, only for our accommodation, which apparently is their practice. What a great marketing ploy ! And only round 20 mins £15 in a taxi down to the Port. An absolute bargain.

One last tip though, make sure that the taxi booked for you is re confirmed in your hearing, not sure if it was the hotel or the taxi firm, but ours was messed up, although in the end this only delayed us by about 10 mins but did give some unnecessary stress.

Over all though a big thumbs up !

2 adults & 2 year old
After reviewing many of the premier Inns within easy reach of peppa pig world we decided Southampton North had the reviews.

We were not disappointed .

Good clean hotel no problems , reasonable rate.

We had dinner in the Beefeater Resturant located next door. - service was excellent , food was very good, and overall appearance of the Resturant was great.

Would recommend this hotel, especially for peppa pig world, which is located just a short drive away.

The staff at this hotel make it a pleasant experience to stay here. It could do with a bit of a facelift - for instance some others I've recently stayed in have large screen TVs and mixer taps in the bathroom. A comfy chair would also be nice.
But apart from those details it's consistently good and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
