We only stayed one night, before a morning flight to Sydney and our main reason for staying was the location within easy driving distance to the airport. It took us about 25 mins to make the drive but that's becuase we left at about 8.20am so hit the rush hour traffic.Outside the rush hour I'd estimate about 15 mins maximum. It's an easy drive.
I found Rosebridge to be a lovely oasis of calm, perfect to relax before the hassle that flying has become.
It's an old house, beautifully kept and is in what was I think one of the oldest "monied" areas around Perth. The sort of area the wealthy would have chosen to live in times gone by.I'm sure it's still the case that this is an affluent area.
The house is spotlessly clean,as was our room. The house is well furnished, very comfortable communal lounge with books and there's a small separate room with a computer giving free ,fast access to the internet. There's also a printer.
There;s a general feeling of tranquility, helped by the delightful garden that surrounds the house.Just being there slows down the pace of life.I'm sure if I had measured my blood pressure ,it'd have been the lowest for many years!
Our room, the Green room, was a good size, large ,comfortable bed.The en-suite bathroom was large with an over-bath shower.Toiletries and towels were plentiful.Tea and coffee were abundant and a small carton of milk was provided in the mini-fridge,much nicer than the sachets sometimes provided or ,even worse, powdered milk--yuk!We also had a small bottle of sherry,or maybe port, can't quite recall now, which was a nice touch and unexpected. There was a TV in the room with a good range of channels.
Breakfast can be taken at seperate tables in the house but we chose to eat outside our room, looking at the garden. The breakfast provided was very good, plenty of choice of fruit, cereals, fruit juice, cooked bacon and eggs etc.Tea and coffee were of course also provided. All in all breakfast was everything you could reasonably expect.
There's a small swimming pool, didn't try it(bit too bracing when we were there!) but there are loungers provided around the pool and towels so it's pleasant to sit there anyway, amongst the flowers and plants.
To summarise therefore, this was a fantastic B&B,we enjoyed our stay immensely and I would have loved to stay longer and would return again without a moments thought.
