There best thing about our stay at Silver Point was that it never felt like staying in a hotel. We truly felt like guests and were afforded the expertise, professionalism and wholesome friendliness of everyone. We chose to stay based upon some previous good reviews and a few pictures of the poolside canopy beds (a picture of romance that meshed with our plans to wed while in Barbados). We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was just close enough to attractions and events to provide ease in reaching them with various transportation options, and that it was just far enough away from the hustle and bustle to afford enjoyable peace and relaxation. The hotel sits right on an excellent beach which was never crowded and possessed a lively array of activity to either enjoy or observe while soaking up the delicious sunrays of the island. Of course, we did accomplish our overall goal of having a small private ceremony on the beach. Now keep in mind, we are really a simplistic and flexible minded couple, but the hotel manager and staff expertly attended to our needs and desires, and all facets from registry to ceremony to the after-party were beyond wonderful. This is a great place for couples of all sorts to enjoy, and solo travelers truly seeking to kick back and relax. We had met and spoken to many locals from various backgrounds who all knew of and backed the excellent reputation of the hotel. We also met other couples and singles while enjoying some of the local attractions of the area and although many spoke of the 'niceness' of their hotels (ones closer to town and activity) they all lamented on the hassles of panhandling and consumerism received at their beaches, the occasional issues of noise and acts of revelry minded tourists, and the feel of the hustle and bustle of the areas of their accommodations. Not so for the Silverpoint, which confirmed for us our making the best choice, for our wedding and our relaxing enjoyment. No need to be redundant, this is a Great place and Great Staff and the restaurant menu choices were nicely compatible with surrounding restaurants and preparation even exceeding some of the better restaurant options. The Silverpoint will be an enjoyable place to return to yearly for our celebrations.
