“Amazing service, beautiful rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I just came back from an week staying in Silver Point from 18/04/15 till 26/04/15 and it was wonderful. The room is very spacefull and comfortable and pretty much from all rooms you can see the ocean. Everyone was very helpfull and polite with us during our stay, always asking if we were enjoying the island. The reception desk helps with all informations u might need, the girls serving breakfast are always very happy and singing in the morning. Me and my wife were crazy about the place it was really fantastic. The location is a bit far from night life and the buzz but if u rent a car or get to know the public lines u be more then fine and the front desk officers will be there to advise. It was all really good from the room cleaning, to the restaurant service and food, no complaints at all. Hope to get back there soon!

Me and my boyfriend visited this hotel and stayed for 9 days, those days were pure bliss! Value for its money, beautiful hotel, clean room, tasty food and very friendly staff. The hotel is close to the airport & the location is very peaceful right in front of the beach. The beach is quite rough, good for wind surfers and people who love the waves. The locals would come to the beach and approach us but they were very friendly and made you feel very welcome, one fisherman even gave us a gift of two beautiful shells. The food is pricey but it's tasty and you have a variety to pick from. The location of the hotel is slightly further out from all the nightlife but we had no problem with getting in a taxi which were stopped right outside the hotel or even on the bus which was a 2 mins walk from the hotel ($2 dollars per person goes as far as Bridgetown). The drive to oistins was 10-15 mins, to Bridgetown around 30 mins. If your staying for longer than a week might be best to rent a car before hand! The receptionist (Kim) was so lovely and kind, she let us know about the trips and where was good to know which was helpful! If you booked a trip, cruise etc they will always pick/drop you off which was great! Our rooms were cleaned everyday, they had a shop inside the hotel that was open till 6pm or a local shop mins away open till 10pm. On my boyfriends birthday we was given a gift certificate for the silver point spa which we was very grateful for. Very relaxing and enjoyed every bit! Overall our experience at the hotel was amazing and we had a lovely trip, everyone was so nice and friendly! We would definitely be coming back!!!

My husband and I stayed at Silver Point Hotel for only a night, on our way to St. Vincent. The ladies at the Reception Desk were very friendly and courteous and gave us very helpful information.
We arrived mid afternoon on Saturday and had lunch at the hotel by the water. The Flying Fish wrap is delicious!! All the staff was outstanding and made us feel like family! There were two young men playing live tranquil music next to the pool which added to the calm laid back vibe of the islands. The curtain drawn cabanas and the sound of the crashing waves makes it nice and easy to take a nap outside. And make sure to grab a freshly cut coconut from the locals who come by on the ocean side- perfect to rehydrate!!
Overall we thought it was a simple, ocean side hotel, that was clean and at a good value.

We stayed for only 4 days / 3 nights, but it felt like we were there for at least we week. I slept the best i had in weeks, barley felt the need to leave my apartment with an amazing view of the ocean with kite surfers for entertainment. Each and every member of staff made my day, they were so polite and happy to help me. We took daily walks along the small beach. While sat in the seating area in the restaurant and by the pool i often spotted turtles playing in the surf. I would definitely recommend this place to surfers, families and couple, well actually everyone. Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

I enjoyed Silver Point. When in Barbados we've always stayed in the Christ Church parrish. The hotel is not too far from the airport and not too far from all the action. If you enjoy a more not so touristy area then this hotel would be perfect. There are cabbies that wait and will take you just about anywhere for a reasonable deal. We just paid one of the drivers and he took us everywhere we needed to go. We stayed in a loft apt which was very clean, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and quite accomodating. I read some of the other reviews and I think for the price you get a pretty good deal. I mean seriously its not the Ritz Carlton. If you want high end perhaps next time consider Sandy Lane, but be prepared to pay those ridiculously huge rates. The restuarant was decent, expensive but decent. The locals are friendly, I actually liked mingling with some of them. I found out all the happening things to do and scored me some conch shells that he had caught, and sold to me much much cheaper then the Oistins vendors or the local souvenir shops. All in all, I would return.

We had a loft apartment room at Silver Point which was spacious, impeccably cleaned by housekeeping and comfortable. Having read other guests reviews we bought a head torch and extension lead with us as the lighting is very subtle and the plugs few.

We ate in the restaurant several times, although a bit pricey we found the food tasty, well presented and the waitress staff friendly.

The pool is a nice size for Barbados and you can usually get a sun bed or lounger.

The hotel is well maintained, grounds manicured and we considered ideal for a relaxing break.

The location is unusual in that it is in the middle of an urban area with a small local convenience store in walking distance that will provide the basics. It can be a be daunting at first sight, but the encounters we had with locals were pleasant, even the weed seller was polite and retreated gracefully.

We would recommend hiring a car to enhance your visit. We ate at some great places in Oistins eg Fred's Bar and Chillin and Grillin which was a a 10 min drive away, as the roads are a bit pot holed.

Like the UK its drive on the left and as hire cars have an H on their number plates, we found other road users were patient and forgiving where we dithered. The road signage is poor though so traveling short distances can be a challenge. But worth the effort as Barbados is a stunning country, especially its coastline.

Beaches we loved were mainly on the East Coast eg Bathsheba, Cattlewash Bay, St Martins Bay, Bottom Bay and Cranes.

We had a great time and can't wait to come back. Enjoy...
