4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much The receptionists were very competent. Restaurant's food was excellent and waitstaff were very friendly and eager to please. The rooms were simple and clean. Supplies of soap, shampoo and lotion were always on hand for sunburned itchy skin and salty hair. Lounge chairs, Cabana beds and couches were a very nice accommodation.Water jug was a different type of fruit or cucumbers everyday, a nice touch. The other hotel guests were very friendly and interesting to talk to. The windsurfing and kiteboarding were fun to watch while sunbathing or eating breakfast or lunch. The water was a beautiful aqua color and sand white and clean. Will definitely consider returning.

Stayed here for a week of much needed R&R and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful rooms and gorgeous location on the beach. It's not in town so if you want to be within walking distance to everything, perhaps choose one of the bigger resorts further along the beach, but for some peace and quiet, and a touch of luxury, it's perfect. Bit pricey, but to be expected.

Loved it here. Staff great. Not a luxury hotel, but the rooms are exactly as the photos depict. They are good size and really clean. Food in the restaurant good, but not special. The bar area and sun loungers maybe getting a little tired. Local transport is good but we hired a car.Quiet evenings but little local bars great and really friendly. There for 3 weeks and still wanted to stay longer. Will go back again.

We just got back from Barbados & stayed at Silver Point at the start of our trip & a different hotel in Hastings at the end of our trip. Checking in was fast, though they did not help us with our bags as they took us to the room (which wasn't a big deal but we had a tip ready & it was strange that he didn't offer to even pick up one bag) We went into our room & it hadn't been cleaned yet so we had to wait on the balcony as they cleaned the room.. which we didn't mind either because we are a very easy going couple & they did apologize about that. The ocean view in the room was gorgeous.. the room was spacious & clean with very nice decor. I LOVED the decor in the hotel.. & everywhere was clean. The bar was nice but the drinks we had tasted average. The FREE WIFI was another plus because it even worked on our balcony in our room & we had no problems with it. The food at the hotel was DELICIOUS from breakfast, lunch & dinner.. we got to try plantain pancakes for the first time & we fell in love. The staff were very helpful and nice. We loved Caroline !! The beach was nice, kind of small.. filled with kite surfers (which we expected from reading reviews) In terms of location you would have to drive awhile to get to St Lawrence Gap, Oistins, Bridgetown etc & other very exciting & fun places in Barbados. The second hotel we stayed at was very close to these places but lacked the modern decor & peaceful atmosphere that Silver Point offers. Overall we loved Silver Point! We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here with my friend for 10 days in December 2012. We stayed in a loft room (room 318) which had a partial sea view and it was amazing - it was always clean (as was the rest of the hotel) and felt totally safe.

I have to mention the staff - all the receptionists were incredibly helpful and friendly, giving us advice and assistance. We booked trips through them - a boat trip and a trip to Harbour Lights - and this was seamless. They patiently explained the difference between the different boats and how to get around the island. Plus those working at the restaurant and pool bar were so chatty and friendly. We've been to a couple of caribbean islands before and have never met such amazing staff.

For us the hotel was perfect - we could sunbathe looking out to sea (and watching the kite surfers), but on the decking so we were sand-free! If you go, you have to try the beds with the curtains, so comfortable. We ate in the restaurant for lunch most days and a couple of times in the evening and enjoyed the food, really large portions and included lots of fish. The fish cutter I think it's called is really tasty and good value. I recommend the rum punch - yum!

Although it may seem that its slightly away from the action, its about a 5 minute walk to the end of the road where you can get a bus to Oistins, St Lawrence Gap and Bridgetown - really easy, quick and cheap. Definitely an experience!! So nowhere seems too far away at all.

I really enjoyed the whole time we were there - I would definitely recommend it...so much so my mother and her partner are heading out there in a couple of weeks!

I stayed at the Silver Point for 9 nights and was quite pleased with the available services and the hotel staff. The food at the restaurant was excellent during the week but average during the weekend, so it can vary in accordance with the chefs on duty. The pancakes, fish cakes and pumpkin fritters (all on the breakfast menu) were made to perfection but I wasn't keen on the overly salty Bul Jol.

The staff are excellent, but service from the waitresses can be spotty at times - make sure you get their attention rather than wait for them to get to you.

The only thing preventing me from giving a 5 star review is that the WiFi was awful during my entire stay. At one point it was out of service for the entire night from 6pm. At other random times during the day it could be out of action for as long as 5 hours. The disappointing aspect of this is that they must know about it but haven't done anything (yet) to address the problem more satisfactorily.

Overall I do recommend the hotel and would be happy to stay there again even in spite of the WiFi problems.

Wonderful location and prime hotel. Great service. Deck beds are luxurious!!! Highly recommended, even if you are not a kite-surfer. Note that this is a constantly windy part of the island though!!! Food is amazing at the restaurant.
