“Beautiful, romantic tucked away boutique hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

I love this place. It's pretty, very private. The food is great and the staff is warm and friendly!
I especially love the view of the ocean with the wind and kite sailing. How spectacular to watch while having breakfast or lunch. AND, the cabanas, WOW, tropical and lovely. The perfect place for a relaxing vacation with your spouse!

Room Tip: Always choose the ocean view. Lovely to wake up to this.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the furniture was, the bathroom was nice and the water is hot. The beach is perfect for surfing and kite surfing. Deaction surf shop is right next door. Brian is pleasant, and helpful. The location is not the best so, a car is highly reccommended, if u want to go anywhere because it is not in the heart of things. The staff is freindly and they have a good resteraunt.

I stayed there one week in August 2012. This hotel is a good option of a nice valued and trendy boutique hotel. My stay there was very calm. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The only thing you should know before book a room at this hotel is it's far away from Bridgetown and the beaches of the west coast. You better book a car to explore the island. If you choose to go by taxi or bus it will be more dificult and expensive maybe.

I had a fantastic time at Silverpoint, and I would definitely go again. The service was fantastic, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is great, particularly local dishes. Our room was great, with big, comfortable beds, big terrace with an amazing view, and a sizeable living area. A lot of people seem to be concerned by the town and locals, I can assure you everything is okay on that front. The locals may seem intimidating at first, but they are all sweet and not troublesome. You may have heard about drug dealers, but they re all gone now. You will only be sold things like coconuts, shells an jewellery on that beach, (which is beautiful, might I add). You have to embrace the locals, we went to a local football match down the road, we were actually welcomed by the commentator through the speaker, and everyone was very friendly, it was a great experience. It's true, the hotel is isolated, but that is what I think makes it special. Plus, there are services available no more than ten minutes away. All of the kite surfers are experts. There are lessons in kitesurfing, surfing, windsurfing and paddle boarding available, (as well as rentals), from either de action brand, which you can find to the left when you turn out of the main complex, and endless, which you can find to the right. I have used both and i would recommend you to both.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

I went to this hotel back in June with a close friend of mine and we had an amazing time. The service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to enhance our Barbados experience. The staff is very resourceful. They were helpful with directions, transportation, and restaurant options. The Hotel Manager, Samantha was helpful in ordering my friend a birthday cake and coordinating spa services. After a relaxing massage we went back out to the beach to sun bathe while being served the best libations the island could offer. The bartender, Richelle is funny, entertaining, and makes great daiquiris. Our last night we stayed in one of the Ocean Front Suites. Hearing the waves crashing was like a lullaby after a dinner at "Cafe Luna"...an elegant restaurant nearby that the hotel was able to get us reservations for. The onsite pool is large and very clean. The hotel's restaurant has a dinner menu that a "foodie" would appreciate. We love this place. They should change their name to "Platinum Point Hotel".

Room Tip: Ocean Front Suites

I really enjoyed my stay here at Silver Point Hotel. Vacationed in Barbados in July 2012 for 5 days. The resort was right on the ocean. The rooms were very very clean and the beds were so comfie, I slept like an angel....The food in the restaurant was very tasty. And the staff really made it very very nice. Kudos to all the staff. I can't say enough about this resort, but I will say that I would stay here over and over again, and this is coming from a very picky traveler. Thank you Eurita for the wonderful Bajan seasoning you got for us, we are enjoying it so very much, and it is making for great ribs and fish.....You are the bomb lady. And thank you to the woman in the front office for recommending we take the Catamaran tour, it was so much FUN! You were right the 5 hour tour was awesome. Swam with the turtles, went snorkeling, had a buffet on board and met people from all over the world....I'm a happy camper.

I have stayed at this property over the last six years at least four times. My husband is an avid kitesurfer and this location is absolutely ideal for that! The hotel is extremely close to the airport but not in the greatest location for restaurants as you will need a car or a taxi to take you out to dinner. (That is never a problem for us.) The hotel is a boutique hotel and has shown some age from the first time we went until the last time. They do try to keep up on it as we saw it being painted two trips ago. The part of the hotel to stay is the direct oceanfront properties and hands down the best ones are the one bedrooms on the bottom floor. So nice with a HUGE deck out front that we played cards at almost every night. The one bedrooms have a small kitchen area and a nice sized living room area. But the deck out front doubles the square footage you have. These rooms as well as the corner bottom floor two bedroom unit are the ones that fill up quickly. Especially with kiteboarders who do not like to lug all of their equipment up and down the steps. The smallest room that the hotel calls it a "partial ocean view" which is really a stretch. The rooms are well equipped but the view is of the parking lot. You do have an adorable small porch but in order to see the ocean you have to look all the way out to your right. The other section of the hotel is across the street. (Its is street that is not traveled very often) and this section of the hotel has another pool at it but views are obstructed. The lobby of the hotel has changed three times in the number of visits since we have first started staying there and they were expanding with more hotel rooms facing the south side.

Water can be a bit rough when the wind is blowing (which is quite often in season) The beach is not the best place to sit and relax since there are kiting lines all over the beach. But I have never minded this since the expansive deck provides plenty of lounge chairs raised above the beach which give great views of all the activity in the water. On calmer days you can rent stand up paddle boards right next door.

All in all the hotel is adorable and certainly in a great location for kiteboarders. I love the island of Barbados and dont mind to travel to dinner. So this location is perfect so we dont have to travel to have my husband kiteboard.
