The biggest problem of the hotel is that it's in the middle of nowhere, no restaurtants and no supermarkets around. If you want to find something, you need to take a mini bus (very good during the day, but not at night) for at least half an hour or a taxi which is expensive. If you rent a car, pay attention! Almost no indication and even with navigator is really hard to find the hotel, expecially during the evening. The restaurant of the hotel is good but limited menu and not cheap (because it's the only one!). Nice beach close to the hotel. Room was clean, but we had a problem with the toilet and the bathroom was full of dirty water. It was 9 pm, we took half an hour to find someone (the reception closes during the night) and they took one hour to clean up everything. We asked to change the room but they didn'tdo it. They did not even apologize for the inconvenience! The extra money for the partial ocean view are wasted, because we actually could see a corner of the sea, but the view is on a parkink!

We stayed there on a staycation special for our anniversary July this year. Check-in was easy and breezy, plus we were upgraded to a wonderful ocean front room for free! :) the room was lovely, new and clean with simple but elegant finishings...

the food is a quite pricey but very good (i had eaten there prior). in any case it's a short trip from the hotel to a mini mart and then into oistins or silversands to get a little more affordable food.
all in all - a lovely boutique hotel with fantastic views and ambience. highly recommend!

My friends and I went to Barbados a couple of years ago and stayed at Silver Point. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was a pretty good size and pretty modern. The restaurant/bar had good food and yummy drinks and wasn't too expensive. The staff was a lot of fun and I still keep in touch with some of them. The only down side is the fact that it is kind of far from the downtown area with nightlife..but there is transportation available.

We stayed here last 2 weeks in August (stayed an extra night because I messed up our dates!). The hotel is great value for money and we didn't have a single problem with it other than the A/C breaking down, which was quickly sorted (we were given a fan for the night it was broken). The staff are all very helpful. I've seen a couple of reviews which take issue with things and can only say that we found the hotel in a decent state of repair and that Barbados, like every other Caribbean island, is an island of contrast. So you will find expensive housing right next door to run down housing. Please believe me, the hotel is not in a ghetto (unless you want to class the whole of Barbados as such!). The beach is great and safe to use. Go into town on the reggae taxis ($2 Barbados for most journeys). Oistins is a must (very good and cheap food). We loved our stay and would recommend Silver Point to everyone without hesitation. Hire a car and go see the island, it really is a beautiful place.
