This hotel is guaranteed to make your stomach turn and not only that but possibly kill you off with an asthma attack during the night while you sleep from all the dust!! I booked this hotel with the price of €65 agreed on with Caroline, when I arrived I was told there's a charge of €20 because I was staying on a Saturday night!! I was then asked why did I book a king room when it was my mam and I staying!! How rude!! He fiddled around with the cards behind the desk and gave us 107 (even though 105 king was beside my name) which turned out to be a twin!! Anyway over all my night was horrendous and I will not be returning!!

Dear Guest,
Apologies that you did not enjoy your stay, The Gentleman that checked you in is currently undergoing training at reception and did not mean in any way to come across as rude,I understand your boyfriend had been taken ill, and the gentleman at reception thought he was accommodating you by moving you to a twin room, as a king room would of meant essentially one large bed and as your mum had arrived down with you he thought that this would be a preferred accommodation set up, apologies for the miscommunication.I would also like to apologise for the dust issue and assure you this has been brought to the attention of the housekeeping staff

Kind Regards

We stayed here recently during the heatwave of 2013 and we had a great experience. Hotel is clean, food is good and staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel although ask for a room at the rear if you want peace and quiet as Carlow is party central at weekends!

we stayed in room 104 which is a nice large family room to the front of the hotel staff were very friendly and the manager made sure we had a supply of crayons and pictures to keep the kids amused we were offered babysitting facilities but decided not to avail as we had an early start the next morning, the rooms were clean and bright and the food and service was great, car park is a bit awkward to get in to but that is my only issue we will definitely be back!

Room Tip: The family room was nice and spacious was to the front of the hotel but to be fair we heard very lit...

Stayed here recently, I found the staff very friendly and service good.
Rooms are on the small side but comfortable for a nights sleep.
Breakfast was good, was not offered tea or toast with it tho.
The hotel is conviently located 5 min walk from the town centre.
Over all it is a good spot.

Couldn't fault this place. Asked for quiet room and got lovely quiet huge big room at the back of the building 6 ft wide bed, lovely linen, large en suite, plenty towels. The staff were pleasent and helpful. Best breakfast was freshly cooked and real good quality food. Located in the middle of town near all amenities. Very nicely furnished throughout - the stained glass ceiling in the front bar adds an interesting touch. Overall a very pleasant experience and we will definately stay there next time we are in the area.

Room Tip: As its situated in the town rooms overlooking the street may be noisy so ask for room at rear if noi...
