We stopped here for one night en route between Queenstown and the glaciers.
We were welcomed very warmly at Reception as we checked in and, despite there being a queue of people behind us, felt that we were given individual attention by the lovely lady at the desk rather than just being 'processed'.
The campsite has a rather bleak and open aspect to it, although some areas have been newly planted and an effort is clearly being made to make it more attractive. There is just so much gravel - with nothing to delineate one campervan pitch from another.
The motel block looks quite attractive from the outside and there is a large (new?) red corrugated iron building accommodating the toilets, showers and cooking area for the campers. The toilets and showers are very new, shiny , spacious and clean - but why are there just two shower cubicles for men and two for women on a campsite this size? Three toilets for the women and a similar number for the men? There is sufficient space in the new building to double that number!
I suspect that this site is under new management and they are gradually developing and improving it. At the moment it is a very adequate overnight stop, but there would need to be improved landscaping and increased number of showers / toilets before I would want to stay on this site for longer than one night.

Thank you for your review. With the Park sites landscaping and helicopter hanger conversion just over a year old now we are still a work in progress with great basics.
