“Fantastic getaway with superb views of the Alps!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2012

We have stayed stayed at Les Airelles in the off season for the past several years. It is an excellent value and a real haven for relaxing. The views are breathtaking and the common salon rooms are perfect for relaxing, reading, movies, free wi-fi and the Les Airelles wonderful coffee. The decorating and everything adds to the wonderful charm of this exception B & B. And did we mention the gracious and helpful hosts? They are so helpful with any needs you might have which for us has been a real God-send. There is also a common kitchen at Les Airelles which is well stocked with all the equipment you would need to prepare most any kind of meal. We love to cook so for us this was a real plus. Just being able to sit around the nice big table in the kitchen and enjoy our evening meal with a glass of wine, dessert and tea is really nice. The rooms are very comfortable with a common shower and toilet on each floor. The only guests that we would caution would be those that have trouble with stairs. Other than that, it is a fabulous place to get away and really enjoy the beauty of Leysin and the Alps. We highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We have been fortunate enough to have stayed on the higher floors with the most fantastic views faci...

We spent a week at Les Airelles to relax after 8 weeks of touring . We were fortunate in that we were the only guests and were able to enjoy the facilities as if we were at home. The view from our balcony was breathtaking and our host was more then willing to provide every assistance. We took full advantage of the use of the guest kitchen as restaurants in Leysin or Switzerland are very expensive. A very relaxing week and wonderfully week.

A really nice B&B, we were there in off season so had the place to ourselves; beautiful views from the balcony and a great selection of amenities.

Particularly appreciated the free wifi as we had to do some work while there and you don't always find it in a Business Hotel, never mind a B&B.

Highly recommended!

A really exceptional place !
Esthetic (old house with caracter + "belle époque" and flowers decorations), quiet place with a large open landscape on a big part of the Alps, very familiar (the couple of owners are loverly and helpful), erverything you need is easily available, possible to stay the afternoon when the room is not used at the evening, many informations about the region.

We'll surely come back.

Thanks Helayne and Michel

Stayed in December 2011 for a family vacation. We chose the place based on price, value and great reviews. The house lives up to the standards of a beautiful old bed and breakfast. Being charming and old has its benefits and its deficits, as posted by previous reviewers. For us, the eccentricity of the hosts was a bit too much, a mix of exuberant kindness and gentility, parental intrusiveness, and at times downright moodiness, giving us the overall feeling of having travelled 6 hours in a cramped car to spend the weekend with the in-laws. We had a great time despite the eccentricity, but we'll look somewhere else next time since we are paying customers.

Stayed in December 2011 for a 1 week family ski vacation. The place is comfortable and a nice place to relax after a day of skiing. The rooms are spacious and clean, although agree that the place could use a little bit of maintenance. The guest lounge area is big and comfortable, with a nearby seperate room where the kids can play and entertain themselves on their own. Great DVD selection for evening entertainment! The guest kitchen is also big and well-equipped, which is a nice alternative to the expensive restaurants (shop at the Coop or corner shop at the train station). Bed mattresses are relatively thin (gets old after a week!), and our kids needed extra blankets at night. Shuttle service stops close to the premises. They also have lots of equipment on hand for any outdoor activities which is an added bonus. Owners are very helpful in providing advice on where and when to go places. A "carte sejour" that they offer to guests staying in Leysin allows you discounts on the tele-cabin, ice rink, pool, etc., so make sure you pick it up from them when you arrive.

We had a great time for a last minute place to stay. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the place is spotlessly clean. The owners and their dog are super friendly and breakfast was basic B and B fare but good. Highly recommended if you need an inexpensive place to stay and want to relax.

Room Tip: room 7 has a nice balcony
