Asked for a table in the sun, shown to a table in the shade. When queried told that the tables in the sun were for four. All tables in the sun had four settings and two people. It was obvious from the start that us stupid Brits did not deserve anything more than to be relieved of our money.
Asked for fish (plenty on the menu). The waiter was dismissive and said "this restaurant specialises in beef". So we went for the plat du jour. What we got was some watermelon soup as a starter which was fine. Then to the main course, some strips of beef, pasta, a few peas and some broccoli florets that languished in a watery sauce that looked like sick.
The beef was minging. There is no other way to describe it - stinking and rotten and the sauce did nothing to hide it either.
After the first bite I could not really believe how bad this was. I took another and another and decided that I was on holiday and that this was the pits and that I was not going to struggle through it and be happy.
We asked for the bill. (This was a test) I explained the problem fully. I said that the beef was "off". Not only was the beef "off" but the dish was inedible. I was presented with the full bill, paid and left. (I do not have sufficient French to argue) and clearly this restaurant does not care about customer satisfaction. No apology, no reduction in the bill.
This was the worst restaurant experience I have had in ten years. See my other reviews - I am not a serial whinger.
