We stayed at Hotel De Verbier during the first week of January and surprised us at many fronts. The managers (Mary and Jason) are always attentive and cant do enough to accommodate everyone. The ski managers Jack/Justin have arranged classes (hotel has a partnership with the famous Warren Smith ski academy), took us on tours and have made anything possible for us to enjoy the ski. Tom - the barman - has served the best drinks in town while the Chef has surprised us all so much that at a point dinners asked to meet him - really excellent food (and as a Mediterranean i take my food very seriously)... The catering staff (Paul, Jack, Steph Mailene etc) were always attending and I am sure i am forgetting to mention all the rest that made our holidays memorable. A nice touch is that at night they rotate our seats so we ended up meeting all sorts of interesting people. Great fun. A big thank you to all for making these holidays memorable. Appreciated.... Inghams should be very proud of this hotel and the people that work here - they gel as a team and offer a warm service as a family..

Room Tip: We loved our spacious room that can easily accommodate a family of four

We have just returned after a New Year break at this hotel. Our party of 15 was extremely happy overall and it would be hard to find fault. The rooms have been refurbished, though some were on the small side with a lack of space to store luggage. We also used two of the family rooms which were a very good size. The public rooms were a good size with a good lounge area for the afternoon tea. There is a nice traditional feel about the hotel, which is on the main "square" (it is a series of roundabouts) and is about five minutes brisk walking (uphill) to the Medran - the main uplift. We hired lockers there for the skis. Inghams offered a 25% discount on this.

Major pluses - the quality of the food and the extremely willing staff. Afternoon tea included soup, savoury snack and two sweet snacks as well as bread. The wine flowed freely at dinner. As others have said, the bar prices were perfectly reasonable - particularly for Verbier. On arrival after our very easy transfer, less than the two hours advertised, there were lots of staff on hand to help get the bags upstairs. Wi-Fi worked well in the public areas and also in the rooms - depending an how far you are from the reception.

Minor niggles - no vin chaud at the bar unless it was made specially. It must be the only hotel in the Alps without this! Canapes were in short supply if you sat at the far end of the bar as they would disappear by the time they got through the bar door. A testament to their taste. If you wanted to pay your bill be credit card then there would be a charge and also they insisted that it would be in GBP. My card is one that has no charges abroad and gives a good exchange rate. We paid in cash. Also, the ski/boot room did not appear to have anywhere to sit to put boots on/off but as we used the lockers this did not matter. Finally, the hot water was a little temperamental. I am being extremely picky with these.

But none of that affected the overall enjoyment of the holiday and many of these points would apply to the majority of hotels anyway.

Hopefully the team can maintain their fresh, enthusiastic outlook for the season. I would not hesitate to go back. Verbier at New Year was extraordinarily busy in the few days leading up to 31st and the Hogmanay celebrations were great to watch, particularly as we were on our balcony looking out. I would not have fancied being in the heaving crowd where you got soaked with champagne when midnight struck!

Room Tip: Rooms in the newer section (50 - 53 on the second floor) were a lot bigger than others.

We visited Hotel de Verbier just before Christmas 13 as it opened for the season and found the staff to be really helpful, overall we had a very pleasant stay and found it to be great value for the money. Fast Free Wifi can be found throughout the hotel and in rooms although they did seem to have some early season Gremlins. Overall we have some lovely memories and Mary running the show was particularly helpful and always had a smile :)

Room
We stayed in room in room 16 which was at the back of the hotel and had obviously just been refurbished this season (there were still some builders pencil marks on the wall!) The twin room was quite spacious and had a nice alpine chalet cabin theme running through. There was a shared balcony but we didn't really make use of it to be honest. We found our room to be very warm and quiet however some guests did mention that rooms at the front were slightly noisy as people were kicked out of the clubs in the early hours of the morning, guess that must be a problem everywhere on the main road.... The bathroom was basic but always had plenty of hot water which is a must when skiing! Our room was thoroughly cleaned daily by Josh and left little jokes, I wander if he'll keep it up as the season wears on?

Breakfast
Breakfast consisted of a standard continental buffet option and you could order hot options such as porridge, eggs, sausages, bacon etc. I recommend getting down and ordering early if you are in a hurry for lessons etc. as sometimes this could get quite busy.

Dinner
Two options available for dinner mains and I don't think anyone had any complaints. The staff also try and mix up the groups on a daily basis so you get to meet different people each day. Luckily most of the people we met were similarly in good spirits and happy to chat along. On one day it was someones birthday and the staff brought in a special cake and sang happy birthday which was a nice touch. However possibly the best touch is the 'unlimited' free wine. Lets just say some people definitely put this to the test and as far as we could see Inghams held up their word. Finally the cheese board was offered at the end of each meal but by the third day you'll have probably had enough cheese.

Bar & Reception area
The barman Tom was great and always happy to have a chat. The decor was warm and cosy and they served soup, canapés and bread each afternoon.

We stayed for Christmas week with family and this hotel was great. The location is ideal in the centre of Verbier and only a short walk from the main Medran lift. The hotel also has a private ski and boot room to keep your equipment. A great family hotel with family rooms available, extra activities in the evening for the children and a separate early meal for them if required. The rooms were kept really clean and tidy. The team of young, fun staff were brilliant; polite and helpful, they couldn't do enough for you to make you stay as good as it could be. There is a comfortable lounge area where you can relax for afternoon tea after skiing and enjoy an aperitif and canapés before dinner in the evening. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Best customer service we've experienced. Run by a young staff that was highly efficient and very fun, a staff that we got to know personally as well. If I were hiring I'd grab some of these kids for my company. Layout of the place encouraged interaction with other guests and we made friends with many. Meals exemplary and presented with flair. Just go.

This is a superb well run hotel in the centre of Verbier (great location) which completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel is run by Inghams in the winter season. The rooms had all been newly refurbished to a good standard and we had a double room (54 and 55) and triple room for children adjourning with shared bathroom which were both spacious (and plenty of hot water after a days skiing!). Lovely view down the mountain and although we backed onto the main place central it wasn't that noisy only when the window was left open at busy times - just what we expected being right in the centre! The food was excellent with plenty of choice (thank you to the chefs), we rolled out at the end of the week! Breakfast with hot option, afternoon tea with soup option, drinks, canapés, 4 course dinner with wines and coffee. The rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard and our clothes were even folded!! (many thanks team - the kids loved the jokes left each day on the back of your cards). We had great fun at the bar with Tom and as we were a party of 21 with children it worked well. The managers and staff were very professional and nothing was a problem to them, exceptional customer service. Thanks to all for a great holiday..we will definitely be back! The F-J's

Room Tip: we were 2 adults and 2 children and took room 55 and 54 on second floor. was very happy with it...
