Being the middle of September, we were out of season, but this place couldn't have been more welcoming nor more enjoyable. The staff were very warm and attentive, and I couldn't leave Switzerland without trying a fondue! The one we had was with baby new potatoes instead of bread, and there was tomato mixed in with the cheeses. A bowl of pickles was served on the side to cut through the richness of the cheese. It was absolutely delicious, and I ate far more of it than I meant to, even though I'm not normally a great fan of cheese. The ambience and atmosphere were lovely, and it was quite busy even though it was pouring with rain and the mountains were shrouded in mist. I can imagine how skiers would want to flock there in season. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
