Description: Situated at 1895m and easily accessible by ski or on foot, the cafe-restaurant La Marlenaz welcomes you seven days a week throughout winter and summer. Our full menu is served non-stop every day throughout the season. We recommend making dinner reservations! We do not take reservations by email. We speak both French and English. Tradition and Innovation Our menu is composed of both regional and international specialties, with a changing list of signature and seasonal dishes. With meats, cheeses, produce and wines from nearby Valaisian farms, our cuisine reflects the quality of ingredients, passion for our work, and local authenticity.

“A trusted and reliable restaurants for the locals and seasonal residents.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

La Malenaz is managed by American Frances and co-owned with her Swiss husband, Daniel. They are a low key but wonderful couple who manage to have very loyal servers in what is a seasonal ski resort. The food is reliably consistent and good. It's the perfect distance to walk up the mountain for lunch either in the summer or winter and where you can reward yourself with a delicous meal and spectacular view. Great salads and seasonal dishes such as chanterelles in the summer. Even if you don't want lunch, you can stop for one of Frances's fabulous American influenced desserts. We also like to treat ourselves in the summer for a dinner there when the daylight is extended into the night. It's not a ski spot so you get the walkers, hikers and in the winter some cross country skiers.
