“Geat holiday but Saas Fee is a bit hard work on lifts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Would be sooo much better if the lifts linked up a bit more. We had a brilliant holiday but the lifts are out dated and there when you are carrying your kids' skiis there needs to be some travelator action! plus - boy is it expensive! Thank God we could eat lunch in the chalet!

“Friendly, welcoming village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

The locals in Saas Fee make the village. Everyone is very friendly, you can tell a lot of the shops are owner occupiers which makes a big difference to the usual ski season staff other resorts get in. The village is picturesque, traditional, quiet and yet plenty of atmosphere. We prefer here to Zermatt which is also lovely but people make a place. The skiing is very good. The ski area is not as vast as Zermatt, but the slopes do cater for every kind of skier and there is enough for a weeks stay. The reds are plentiful, wide and often easy. There are only a couple of blues but they are very long and flowing and very good with a variety of blue challenges and very good for boarders. There seemed to be a few excellent blacks but we didnt ski those! The ski school had excellent facilities and the location was very good. I wish my boys had learnt here many years ago! There is a terrific snow park! The resort is very good for boarding. We stayed half board in an owner run hotel. I cannot recommend it highly enough the Best Western Metropol Grand. If you want a great hotel in a great resort try here!

“Excellent views, small resort.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

The views were exceptional with towering peaks all around. However, the ski area itself was on the small side with three separate sectors connected at the base area only so skiing from one to another entailed skiing to the base area and taking a lift to another sector. Plus, visiting the other ski resorts in the valley required taking a bus. When the weather would roll in, it was very hard to see and very little of the resort was below treeline so bad weather meant virtually no skiing.

“On the small side, good snow park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

I enjoyed our weekend snowboarding in this resort. The slopes are on the hard side (steep) but I really enjoyed the off piste and the snow park. I would definitely come here again.

“Fantastic late spring skiing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Snow is perfect, most lifts are fast. Pistes are interesting with drops of relief. Views are marvelous. Just great and I have nothing to add!
