“Extremely interesting and compact museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

This museum is located within old castle walls and has its own small restaurant. It is situated on the edge of Lake Geneva. It is not too large making it possible to view in an hour or so. The museum has a wonderful display of all types of (mostly antique) games including board games, chess, lottery, playing cards etc. Definitely worth a visit.

“It is fun not only for kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

It is located in a nice castle.
There is a very nice collection of chess games and other boxed game. It is a small museum. The visit can take half an hour at least.
There is also a nice garden around the museum.
I recommend it not only when you visit with kids

“a nice museum at the end of a long walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

I started searching for this place after walking from Vevey Marche towards Montreux.
It is inside a castle just after the La Tour-de-Peilz ferry stop.

At first I nudged at the big castle entrance door and thought it is closed.I managed to open it after turning the knob.
It has a very nice collection of games ,right from olden days to the modern casino types.
Spent some time looking at old bowling pins, chess boards etc.
There is a huge chess board outside ,complete with all the pieces in black and white arranged on either side.

Surprisingly,I entered and exited without anyone asking me to pay a fee.i thought there was a fee to be paid.:)

“Didn't really enjoy, but kids did”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

Went with the kids one rainy afternoon. I personally did not enjoy the museum at all but apparently the kids thought it was worthwhile. I was surprised to hear they enjoyed it!
