“what a treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2010

My wife and I at the Sunstar Hotel in Klosters for a long weekend. We were impressed with the nice 'chalet-style' buliding and the surrounding gardens. The view of the mountains from the room was breathtaking and the country-side athmosphere just like you would expect it in Switzerland. The management and staff were very welcoming and friendly and we appreciated the little chocolates on the bed before night time.
The evening menu in the rustic restaurant was very creative and excellent. The breakfast buffet a dream.
Also liked the swimming pool and the steam bath after a full day hike.
All together we just loved our weekend there and will be back in the future.
Real good quality/price ratio for this lovely hotel and also, even for food, wine and drinks (cheapest bottle of quality wine we ever had in Switzerland!).
We were told the other Sunstar Hotels in Switzerland are similar so we tried the one Arosa as well and had the same amazing experience. We spent a weekend skiing and the skipass was even included in the hotel price... can you believe that!
Highly recommended.

Klosters is a michelin 2 star rated site only because of its picturesque setting. This hotel, situated a bit out of town, has fantastic views onto a valley outside of town with the mountains in the distance. Many of the rooms have nice balconies. Every person on the staff was most gracious and helpful. We took demi-pension. The breakfasts were varied and of excellent quality. The dinners were also of high quality with excellent service. I would highly recommend this hotel. As it was off season, some rooms were available and we did not have an advance booking, the hotel was willing to make a modest 12% discount off of the regular room rates. Would definitely book a superior double with balcony and the spectacular views. The hotel has some spa activities including an indoor pool. You can walk out of the restaurant at the back of the hotel and take a multi mile hike into the valley.

Stayed here for 1 enjoyable night only. The hotel is beautiful, and in a great location in the quieter side of Klosters. Was made to feel very welcome by our hosts, with a variety of different information given to us.
Got the bus (free pass with hotel) into the platz to look around, and then walked back to the hotel in the dorf (about 30-40 mins). The walk was fantastic - perfect Switzerland. Then had an ice cold beer outside at the hotel and chilled off in the nice pool.
Evening meal at hotel OK but not great, restaurant full of pensioners - may not suit a younger clientele.
Breakfast very good.
