“School Visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

Just finishing another successful trip to the hotel. We have stayed here on 4 previous occasions and been very satisfied. The hotel is very accommodating and the staff are very approachable and friendly. The rooms are appropriate for either school groups or independent travellers. We would recommend.

Very suitable for a school group. The hotel was basic but offered everything expected: clean rooms, good food, secure environment and flexibility due to our busy schedule. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and created a positive environment when travelling with children. We had a mixed age range with us and this hotel allowed us to cater for all needs. Perfect location and very accessible. Would recommend to school groups.

The Hotel was very accomodating for our school group. The rooms were basic, but suitable for our needs. The staff were very friendy and helped in every way they could.
The food was good and the majority of pupils were very happy.
Would recommend this hotel as we had a great week staying there.

Our second stay at the Hunsruckerhof and I was reminded just how perfect it is for school trips. The location is absolutely ideal and travel company and coach company made us fully aware of the lack of parking facilities which did not cause us any problems whatsoever. The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating - a refreshing change from some hoteliers in other hotels we have been in. The food was ideal for school children, plentiful and varied with just the right balance between offering a German experience and providing food british teenagers will eat! Whilst it may not be 5* regarding furnishing the rooms are good sized and well equipped. We have been running the trip for many years and have tried several hotels on the Rhine and Moselle - this ticks all our boxes. We will be back!

After travelling from England with a very professional coach driver only to find that the coach was unable to park outside the hotel, meaning that we had to walk with a party of 49 children a quarter of a mile to get to it. On the face of it the hotel looked inviting but once inside, it looked dated and in my opinion not child friendly. It was basic and this described the food at breakfast time and at dinner. A sweet consisting of half a peach one night and tinned fruit salad with what looked like dream topping another night. Took me back to the 1970's. Food was very basic.
Not impressed......
Would we be going back No...
Would you recommend it to any other school trips No....

We've stayed in several hotels in the Rhineland area with our students and I can certainly recommend this one to other teachers. The staff were patient and friendly with our students and tolerant of the noise level which always comes with groups of teenagers (and polite if they did get a little rowdy) Rooms are a good size and well equipped, food is perfectly adequate for a school party. Location was perfect. They were also very helpful and considerate when one of our students was unwell.
