“Lovely Freising”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

Freising is lovely charming historical town, nice hotel, room was comfortable but nothing special, good for the price and category of the hotel. A little bit noisy - garbage trucks start dumping too early in the morning. Drains need to be cleaned as they drain too slowly. Be warned it is a 20min shuttle to the airport. The shuttle is convenient but most hotels do not charge for it.
Lots of additional charges, as WiFi, breakfast etc. This is all detailed in the booked but felt like the extras where a bit steep.

The swimming pool and exercise room are pretty good. Staff is very friendly.

This is an hotel I go on a regular basis for business so I know my way around Freising, and know the staff. Hotel has been renovated and the rooms look amazing. It is very quiet and rooms are very well insulated. The hotel is a short walk from downtown Freising where you can find multiple restaurants. The staff is very friendly and there to cater to all your needs. The bar is right close to the Lobby and food is very decent. The breakfast is the best thing the hotel has to offer. It has everything you need from eggs to sausages to baked items to coffee to juice to salmon... Going to Munich is very easy by taken the train.

Beware arriving late at night ...the shuttle is irregular and further away from the airport than you imagine . Friendly reception , renovations that are nearly finished ( so nice new rooms and bathrooms but drilling until late ) The bar is well situated ( slow if friendly service ) a very good restaurant with fun Bavarian trimmings . Breakfast could be better ( a lot of sausage , not so much fruit ) and the coffee is mediocre . Our meeting rooms were great - lots of light , fantastic ( unending ) snacks and good staff service . Freising itsself is worth a look - great Abbey/church and one of Germany's oldest breweries plus restaurant .

The rooms have a great little walk-in wardrobe - wonderful idea !!

Room Tip: Fourth floor ( away from the noise )

We knew this hotel wasn't right by the airport when we saw the charge for the shuttle, but thought we'd try it anyway. We were offput upon arrival by the noise and smell from the renovations in the lobby (which ended by 7pm) and renovations next door to the first room they offered us. Once we got to a new room, an executive room, we were very pleased by the space and appointments in the room. I won't repeat what others have mentioned, but this was a really terrific room which is so new and with so many nice touches--lots of counter space in the bathroom, a walk-in closet with hanging and shelf space, the whimsical full wall cow picture in the large shower, windows that open, quiet outside. I could go on and on. When the renovations are completed, you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. I like the "meadow" that grows on the roof of the meeting rooms/convention area. It even has bee hives.

The renovations were not mentioned on the website although they should have been, but the hotel made some very nice gestures to make up for the inconvenience we experienced with the limited use of the common areas and services when the men were working. They understand customer service here. The bar and restaurant were available from 7pm on during that phase of the renovation. It was amazing how transformed the area was a night. We found the food there to be surprisingly well prepared and care taken in presentation. I was sorry that we weren't staying longer as I would have liked to try more of the meal and snack choices. The atmosphere in the bar was convivial, and we stayed longer than we normally would have.

Freising was new to us and a pleasant surprise. If we'd known how charming the town was, we would have come here a day or two earlier. It is nice to have the airport hotel in an actual town, rather than the typical closed up airport environment. We would definitely stay here again, and encourage you to try it.

This hotel is a good 20 mins drive to the airport it was the last night of my trip
The Hotel is good was looked after but the internet was not good slow and hard to get on also not cheap.
But the city of Freising was fantastic after arriving and a shower i took off to see what was around this is a great place to stop in and see my camera worked over timer taking pictures of the history of the area I wish i had another day there.
My single room was ok with en suite and breakfast was very nice the staff did not seam to want to help a stood around looking at you.
The desk staff were very nice and helpful and arranged transport to the airport for a fee.
This is a town i would say to people have a couple of night there it is stunning

This hotel is about 20/30 miles from the airport and the shuttle bus needs to be reserved
in advance and cost 11 euro per person. The hotel is lovely and the town of Freising is
adorable but it's definitely not at the airport. The staff was lovely and was very apologetic
about the bus and the distance.

Room Tip: The hotel has been renovated and all the rooms are lovely. No views to speak of in this small town s...

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel in July, we expected that the access to Munich was a bit easier, but took us around 1 hour to get to the city walking and by train.
The hotel is nice and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing, great food and variety, not to mention the atmosphere of the restaurant that reminded me of a farm kitchen.
The rooms were ok, nothing special, but good for the price and category of the hotel.
The highlight was really how helpful all the staff was, they spent time explaining direction, timetables and everything that could make our journey easier.
The town Freising is small but also lovely.
Only issue we had was with the parking, it is covered, paid, and outside the hotel, someone hit our car and did not take any responsibility during the night.
Apart from that good hotel.
