“A great place for a day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013 via mobile

This is a great place to visit and is now designed to accommodate tourists. Boar rides on the lakes, souvenir shops and a lovely train journey to get there through the black forest on a double decker train through the forest. Great day for all ages.

“Natur”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Titisee is a small lake between Feldberg and Freiburg, I would say a must see location for all Black Forest visitors. From the parking spot an enjoyable walk leads you till the lake shore. With a sunny day I suggest you rent a boat and enjoy some relaxing views from the middle of the lake. Titisee is not the largest lake around but probably the most interesting given its sorrounding and a good marketing able to promote the location to diverse travellers. I love the incredible forest but the same location could also be a perfect starting point to explore the close mountains during winter time. Don´t forget to visit the swimming pool with its hot pools and some enterteinment.

“our favorite place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

I can't say enough about Titisee and the beauty it holds. We have spent many Christmases there, and even stayed for 3 months in 2008! It was just a dream place and everyone is friendly. Sometimes there can be too many tourists of course, but when there is a beautiful place that is to be expected. Great hikes around the lake and surrounding area.

“A Pretty Picture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

A good place to find some of your gifts for friends and family, there are several restaurants. There are a few boats that will take you on trips about the Lake and a motor tour in the style of a train that will take you around some of Titisee. Near the Train station there are a few shops dedicated to woodcarving and some good smaller restaurants. It can look a little like a tourist trap with all the shops, It should be said some of the shops are tourists attractions in themselves, including the christmas style shops , There are a lot of opportunities for scenic photography not just around the lake. I have visited three times in different years.

“Beautiful Lake in the heart of the Black Forest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

The lake is definitely worth a visit for the super walks and the surrounding hills and forests, It has numerous excellent restaurants and hotels. In winter it feels especially Christmassy with the trees covered in a dusting of snow and the traditional German 19th century architecture.
