“Friendly historic hotel, cozy and comfortable rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2011

Our reservation was compentently handled, the reception was friendly and the location in Münstertal is attractive. We had a room under the roof, facing the back. This allows you to keep the windows open, provided you don't mind the constant background water flow of the neighboring little stream. For us, this actually improved the sleeping experience. The rooms are of adequate size and are well furnished. Big plus: there is WLAN reception free of charge! Breakfast is of good quality and selection. Overall: a quaint, cozy experience and good value in the region.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2011

Landgasthaus Zur Linde was a little gem above the village of Munstertal. After a spellbindingly beautiful drive to the hotel via Todtnau/Wieden we arrived and were greeted by the recently appointed, very friendly and efficient manager, Mark (fresh from a stint at Gleneagles!), who showed us to our room. We paid a bit more to have the suite (room 23) on the top floor and it was worth every Euro extra as the views were glorious down the valley to the St. Trudpert Munster (monastery). Home made biscuits, bottled water and fresh fruit were waiting for us in the room which was spacious, spotless & very relaxing with its own sitting room, spare single room, double room and bathroom. The only slight pity is that the hotel is located right on a fairly busy road but it's so pleasant once inside that you soon forget that it's there. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was fantastic and beautifully presented and the waiting staff charming - armed with a gastronomic dictionary (!) in case there were any problems translating the menu. Thoroughly recommended.

We didn't have a car-and arrived by train and that was a challenge. However the room, the dinner, the wine and the breakfast was beyond wonderful. We had a wonderful walk the next morning and landgasthaus drove us to the train the next morning. I loved everything about Landgastaus Zur Linde!
