“Perfect night stopover”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Stayed here on the 10th August 2012 as part of a driving trip towards camaiore with the family, seven of us in total. It turned out to be a great location and just like the website images and description. Laura is a wonderful host and was attentive to our needs, very clean, stylish and comfortable with private parking which was a bonus. Air conditioning is available in each room which also has its own bathroom and Tv. Breakfast was provided and served by Laura which proved a filling start to the day with five children. We even managed a day trip to Milan centre (Duomo and San siro) which can be reached from the local train station every half hour. Vanzago itself does not have a lot going on but does have a delicious ice cream parlour as its highlight. In summary, ideal for a base for a few days exploring or overnight stop & welcoming.

Bigatt B&B is a short train ride from the city of Milan and makes it a great option to stay if you don't want to be in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Milano. The hosts are wonderful - we got in to Milan tired and weary, straight in from India, and were welcomed with some awesome coffee and biscotti. Laura was also very helpful pre-arrival, and very prompt with reservation related responses. She even waived the deposit for us due to an issue in transfering the money electronically - a very kind gesture on her part. Since we had an early morning flight to Sardinia the next morning and would miss her regular breakfast hours, she ensured that she had a packed box breakfast ready for us before we left the B&B. Her husband Giuseppe was very helpful with our luggage, picked us up from the airport when we arrived and dropped us to the airport in the wee hours of the morning. The only downside I'd think (and that too was our fault) - we returned from the city of Milan quite late at night - so it was a bit tough to navigate/find the place in the dark. But people around are very friendly and some kind soul had just got off mass, so showed us the way. Very cosy for a short stay and for someone who is willing to commute into the city (which by the way is very convenient!). Finally, good value for money too!!! Thanks Laura and Giuseppe!

If you don't want to stay in the busy Milano area, then this B&B in Vanzago is a delightful option! It's about a 15-20 minute train ride west of Milano city. The town of Vanzago is small and sleepy, which is a refreshing change from the main cities of Italy which are teeming with tourists.

The hostess Laura is incredibly warm and welcoming - she provides a lovely continental style breakfast and freshly made coffees. She is very helpful in terms of helping to plan an outing, transportation, etc. The B&B itself is clean and looks just like the pictures. I would highly recommend the Bigatt B&B. Mille grazie Laura, and ciao! Hopefully we will have an opportunity to come back. -- T. Hendriks & family, North Vancouver, BC, Canada

Comfortable. Clean. Congenial. Cozy. We stayed in this charming and wonderful place for 7 nights and it is MARVELOUS! There is nothing negative I can think about the room, the breakfasts, the location, the experience. Laura is WONDERFUL and ACCOMMODATING!!!! It is quite difficult to express in words my gratitude to Laura for creating this wonderful "home away from home". You must experience it to know why I am writing this review of high praise. As to location - the B&B is a comfortable 5 to 7 minute walk to the train station to access trains to Milano, Malpensa Airport, or other destinations. You do not need a car because the trains go everywhere except into the rural countryside.

This is a perfect place to stay when visiting Milano! Our (young couple from Norway) stay lasted 5 night, and was immaculate. The rooms are neat, clean, comfortable and very charming. It's our first time staying at a B&B, and I would highly recomend it. It gives a feeling of being on vacation, but not in a unpersonal mainstream hotel. The host, Laura was fully at your service, and helped above and beyond our expectation. She gave us tips regarding resturant, transport, and fun places to see when staying in Milano. We thought it was very helpful being able to ask her question, especially those which are not written in a typical guide book.

Although the B&B is 20 minutes from Milano city, it is actually very centrally situated. The trains go every 30 minutes directly to one of the larger stationes, thereby making it easier to travel around inside the city. We just bough a day pass to all the metro-lines, and used them all day through. Also, the B&B is just 5 minutes from Rho, where there was sevral nice resturants, shops and even a market.

This B&B we would gladly recommend, and if going back to Milano we will definitively stay here!

We had stayed there only for a day. The place was great standalone, but I dont think it was well connected .

It was well decorated and neatly done up, and the proprietor couple were very very sweet and helpful.

I would recommend that you stay there if you like walking or have your own transport. In which case, its well worth the money.

Thank you for your kind review and for appreciating our warm welcome.
It was nice to have you as our guests, even for less than a day.

I am sorry that you had the impression that our property was not well connected.
You do not explain why, in any case I remember that in half a day you had the chance to come from Malpensa and make a quick visit to Milan, before your departure early the following day.

We are indeed located between the airport of Malpensa and Milan and the charms of the city are aren't far away, even if we are located outside the town.
There is no need to have a car as the train stop is merely 5 min walk from our house and it takes 20-25 mins to reach directly the city center. Moreover the train is perfectly connected to the underground lines in various stations, so that you can reach any area of the town.

I hope to welcome you again, maybe for a few more days so you can fully appreciate our comforts.

With best regards,
Laura
