If your intent is to find authentic Mexican food you are in the wrong country. My experiences thus far over the last year in Germany are that they make great German food. Makes sense huh? Those of us who've lived in the U.S in states along the southern border and sometime even a little farther north know that good Mexican food can cause a man to make hasty decisions. My time in San Antonio was enjoyable enough to make me consider retiring there. Schweinfurt is no San Antonio and Habaneros is par for German prepared Mexican food. The place is popular with the locals and was extremely busy for a work night when I visited with my co workers. It's alive and fun; if you didn't know what Mexican bars and restaurants were supposed to taste like then you'd never know it wasn't as good as back across the pond. I say try the place out with friends, knock back a few coronas or tequilas, and leave your previous notions of Mexican Food at the door; you'll have a good time and might even develop a taste for Germican. Get your pic taken with the giant pig out front if you have the tourist bug.
